This modern-build, twin A-Frame cabin sits 20 feet above the water on a 1.3 acre private island. The front deck offers a spectacular view over Matthews Bay and is bathed in early morning sunlight as the sun rises directly ahead of your view.
The island is ideally located such that it is less than a 10 minute boat ride from Pointe Au Baril Station, Ojibway Island, Hole in the Wall Provincial Park, and the Pointe Au Baril light house. And yet the island is secluded from the main channel and opens to a small private bay on the island's back side.

The cabin was built in 1980 and was completely renovated in 2016. The Twin A-Frame panabode construction cabin presents a sleeper side and an entertainment side.
On the entertainment side is a living room, wood burning fireplace, modern kitchen with pass-through bar, all new appliances, and dining room table.
The sleeping side presents a master bedroom with a king size bed and an en-suite private bathroom; a guest bedroom that can be configured with a king bed, or 2 twin beds; a sleeping loft with three single beds (great for kids); and a main floor full bath for these two sleeping areas.
This island sits within the pristine fresh water of the beautiful Georgian Bay. A stay on Rogan Islands allows guests to slip away to total serenity. Your days can be filled with sunning, reading, swimming, fishing, water-skiing, kayaking, canoeing, eating, marshmallow roasts, and adventuring to nearby provincial island parks.

Summary: Spent a week with family and friends at Rogan Island and had a great time! Excellent cottage and facilities. Owners are prompt with replies to all of our questions and overall, were great people to deal with - excellent experience. In the 26+ years of renting in the PaB area, this was the nicest cottage we've rented to date!

Summary: I got lucky finding this cottage. It was a really nice place on its own island in an archipelago north of Parry Sound. You need to rent a boat for the week but that is no hardship; it just adds to the fun. We lucked out with the weather too. Our Golden Retriever especially loved the swimming. The owner Joe was always very responsive to any questions and remedied any problems, which were quite small anyway. Two thumbs up! Hope to return next summer.

Summary: We had a great stay. Loved the cottage set up - 2 cabins, one sleeping and the other is kitchen/family room so the early rise didn’t wake others. Beautiful view and deck space to use the lounge chairs or set up hammock’s (brought our own). We had a couple chilly days/nights so the fireplace was very appreciated and cozy. Kitchen has everything needed to make simple meals. I brought another paddleboard so we had 2 to paddle around. Great swimming off the dock - water is clean and deep. Great vacation- thank you!

Summary: We had an amazing time at this cabin! My sons (9 and 11) had so much fun exploring the island, fishing, swimming, and boating. It was such a pleasant getaway. Everyone had fun - kids, parents, and grandparents. The cabin was very comfortable with lots of water toys - kayaks and paddle board. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made preparing meals easy. The views were amazing! I definitely recommend the cabin to others. We had a blast! Thank you to John, sister Carol, and the caretaker! Everyone checked in on us to make sure we were having a good time!

Summary: Great layout between living and sleeping places. The view from the deck of Matthews Bay is superb both day and night. Centrally located between Pointe Au Baril Station, the Lighthouse and Ojibway Hotel. The house is solid cedar and smells great too. Very comfortable while maintaining the simplicity of cottage living.
