Trevethan is a comfortable smoke-free, pet-free property with front and rear gardens, located in the centre of the village of Rock. The village has been celebrated for decades for its proximity to an area of outstanding beauty which offers holiday makers easy access to beaches, coastal sports, exceptional golf courses and the kind of restaurants you would normally associate with London and cosmopolitan cities. Generations of families have been returning every year to this much-loved area. They came as children themselves and now bring their children and grandchildren.
The property is ideal for a family or group holiday. It sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms, two of which have en-suite bathrooms. There is also a large family bathroom. The property is all on one level with no stairs so is great for family members of all ages. It gets morning and evening sun and is within a few minutes walk of the excellent village shops - a first class butcher, deli, bakery, fishmonger, newsagent, shops selling wonderful clothes for sailing and leisure. There is even an art gallery. The beaches at Rock and Daymer Bay can be reached within 5 minutes by car from Trevethan. Polzeath surfing beach is a few minutes drive further on. Padstow, made famous by TV chef Rick Stein, can be reached within a few minutes by ferry.
This property is extremely well-equipped with two fridges and a freezer, a full size dishwasher, double oven and hob , microwave, kettle and toaster and a barbecue for outdoor cooking. It has everything needed for an enjoyable family holiday, including free fast fibre Wi-Fi and an internet TV. Just bring your Netflix password. Linen and towels are included in high season periods but can be hired from £12.50 per person in low season or visitors can bring their own if preferred.
Off road parking is available for 3 cars. A separate laundry room has a washing machine and tumble dryer whilst the garden has a washing line. Alfresco dining is a pleasure at this property which is inland, sheltered from the strong winds on the coast. Many of our guests return year after year.

Summary: We all enjoyed our stay in this property, the house was perfect for our needs as 2 families holidaying together, and the location was great for local shops and restaurants. A bit of a trek uphill after getting the ferry back from Padstow but worth it! The beds were super comfy and everything we could need was provided.

Summary: We loved our stay here as a family of 6. Peaceful, well equipped, clean and really homely we couldn’t fault it. Great location too near to brilliant shops for all the essentials and more. Incredible fish and chips too! We’ll most certainly be back, it really felt like home from home which is what I love when going away.

Summary: Great location and the property had all we expected but requires some updating of facilities . The bedroom near external boiler stunk of fuel all the time and was not good for asthma sufferers and the showers in all rooms want attention this needs feeding back to the owners please. This is why I reduced the overall rating down slightly.

Summary: I'd hugely recommend this property. It is very well equipped with virtually anything that you could possibly need during a holiday, is very comfortable and well-maintained.

Summary: Our part was 5 adults 3 children. There was plenty of space. Importantly for us a secure back garden for the children to play. Only blip was one of the beds was not made but a call to the housekeeper put that right within the hour. The dustbins weren’t collect so had to leave full bins for the next visitors. However, a great time had by all.
