Summary: Property was fine. Too close to a busy road for our liking. Kitchen dishes, cookwear, utensils not clean. Inside of cabinets where cookware is stored is greasy and grimy. Our biggest complaint was that a bear came daily to dig in the trash bins, one of which was half full when we got there and did not have security straps. The other that did have straps was still invaded by the bear. He came all four days we were there, scaring us all. The owner knew this bear was there before we checked in but did NOT tell us ahead of time. We wound up living with four large bags of trash in the kitchen so we could try to discourage the bear from coming around and we never used the grill or ate outside. The trash cans were right next to our cars and the bear could have easily gotten into one or, worse, climbed the steps of the porch and gotten into the kitchen if so motivated. The owner was very blase, saying "no one has been hurt by a bear'' and did nothing to mitigate the situation, like have the trash removed. The bear came morning, afternoon and at night. We decided to leave two days early because it woke us at 11pm digging again in the trash and would not retreat after we yelled out the window and tried to scare it. This was not a luxurious home nor a restful vacation. We asked the owner for a refund for those two nights and spelled out very clearly why, and she ghosted us. If you have dogs and kids, do not rent this home.We were very disappointed.

Summary: Darlene’s cabin did not disappoint! Close to all but very private and great for two families. The house was very clean and had all we needed for a comfortable and fun week. We’re looking forward to coming back.

Summary: We had a great time at the log cabin. Very comfortable with lots of space and things to do. Plenty of room for four, plus our dog. The place was clean and well furnished. We especially liked the finished basement. Our only disappointment was that the grill was rusty, and the fire pit wasn't usable. Other than that, highly recommend.

Summary: This property was perfect for us. We are a group of equestrians visiting the area for Vt Summer Festival and there was ample space, bedrooms and common area for us to all enjoy and not be stepping on each other. I highly recommend the property - while we were close to what we needed to be close to, we felt isolated in nature at this location.

Summary: Darlene's house is wonderful! It is a large wood cabin style house with all the comforts of home. We loved sitting by the fireplace every night after a long day of skiing. Our kids enjoyed the ping pong and foosball tables in the basement. The house is very close to everything in Manchester and just a short drive to skiing. We'll be back!

Summary: The house was very comfortable, and well equipped. We particularly appreciated the covered porch and outdoor grill, and our dogs loved the large yard. All of the amenities of Manchester are just a short drive away, and there are plenty of options for outdoor activities near and far. Our host, Darlene, was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The property was great, much larger rooms/overall cabin then we anticipated. The fire place is awesome. The downstairs with the games was great for the kids. We ate in a few nights and the kitchen was well equiped with a brand new stove. We really enjoyed the outside covered deck, with the fire side table.

Summary: This property provided a secluded, private location less than 10 minutes from Manchester Center, shops and restaurants and the Manchester Summer Festival. Breakfasts on the house’s large front porch were particularly nice.

Summary: We spent a few days at the house the week of President's day. The house was easy to find, conveniently located close to Manchester, and a short drive to Bromley and Stratton. The house is located on a beautiful and private piece of property that makes it feel secluded, which is what we were looking for in a Vermont cabin. The house was immaculate with great accommodations. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home at the end of a long day on the slopes or shopping. The bedrooms were big and comfortable with privacy for all. We had an awesome time playing darts and ping pong while announcing from the keyboard. We really enjoyed being so close to everything the area has to offer. Some of us got up early to go skiing and riding, while the rest went shopping and enjoying Manchester. Everyone met at the mountains for lunch and the rest of the day was spent sitting by the fire, relaxing with a glass of wine, cooking, and playing games. The home is a special place that clearly has been cared for by it's owners. Darlene was a pleasure to deal with and responsive to any questions we had. This property does not disappoint in any way. We will definetly be in touch about renting at another time. Don't miss out. A great time in a great place awaits.
