This property, built in 2019, sits high on a hill and has stunning, unobstructed views of the Alsea Bay, the Alsea Bay bridge, the town of Waldport and the Pacific Ocean. The unit is a beautiful, spacious (1000 square feet) one bedroom townhouse. The main part of the house is occupied by the owners.
The townhouse is remarkably relaxing, with spacious, carefully decorated rooms, each with views. The bedroom has a California king bed and an additional small bed in the bedroom in a charming alcove. The townhouse has its own one car garage and a deck with a BBQ.
The home is just north of the Alsea Bay, on a dead end private road. It is part of a small subdivision (6 lots), with each lot sitting on 2 acres of land. Very private. Beach access is just a 5 minute drive. All Oregon beaches are public, and beach access is required by law every two miles. Visitors can also walk easily to and over the bridge. It's a one mile walk from the townhouse to the town of Waldport.

Waldport, a 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk from the apartment, is a small town (population 2,000) with all the essentials...a grocery store, a drug store, a hardware store, and several small restaurants. It is 15 miles south of Newport (population 10,000) and 15 miles north of Yachats (population 700). All three towns are popular tourist destinations.
Because the home is on a dead end street we do have exterior security cameras. The unit is non-smoking, and we're sorry, but we can't allow pets.
The house is called Puma Point because during construction the security cameras recorded pictures of a cougar on the property several times, though there haven't been any sightings since the house was finished.

Summary: This was another of many stays at Puma, I always return here when going to mid OR coast. This rental has everything to make my stay superb. Hosts Kathleen and Gary go beyond the expected, condo is like home but better as everything is so clean and tidy. Hosts suggest wonderful activities. Summary: This was our fourth time renting this property, something we’ve never done before having stayed in about 200 rentals since retiring. Gary and Kathleen are exceptional hosts. Their property is beautiful both inside and out, very clean and well maintained. The attention to detail in equipping it is outstanding. We love staying here and love the area.

Summary: Beautiful location on the Oregon Coast. Views from apartment matched the lovely interior. Owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and inviting. Kitchen has all you could need and then some to make full meals. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. The river views from the balcony and ocean views from bedroom are both wonderful. Owners Gary and Kathleen are friendly and welcoming. Excellent location to traverse the many beautiful sites along the Oregon Coast. Would highly recommend this peaceful escape.

Summary: Love our stays at Puma Point! This is a special place on the Oregon coast. It is one of our favorites. Great central location to explore the coast. Governor Patterson beach is very close. This is an easily accessible beach with no steep climb or steps. This beach is personaly our favorite beach on the coast and we have visited many. Puma Point provides a beautiful view of the Pacific, Patterson beach, Alsea Bay and Alsea bridge. There is a small private deck off with seating and a bbq grill. Love watching the seals sunning themselves at low tide on the sand bars near the bridge. The condo is lovely and well stocked with all kitchen and other needs. A plus is that you have access to your own one car garage. Kathleen and Gary are gracious hosts that make the stay even better. Will definitely return for future stays.

Summary: This was our first and hopefully not our last visit to Puma Point. The condo, although situated over the garage of the main house, was a private getaway for us. The hosts were available to offer assistance as needed, but were very unobtrusive. We found the condo to be immaculate and welcoming, with a well equipped kitchen and the living space was comfortable and cozy. The views of the river, bridge and ocean are stunning, and the overall location was great for day trips & exploring the beautiful Oregon coast. We are looking forward to a return visit in the future.

Summary: Kathleen and Gary are wonderful hosts, kind, warm and eager to recommend nearby attractions and activities. This is a new, immaculate, beautiful and huge apartment, situated above the three car garage adjacent to their home, with separate entrance, large and fully stocked kitchen, and beautiful views of the bay and ocean. Every morning we watched seals hunting for salmon as we sipped our coffee from our deck. We will be back for sure!
