Simpson Bay is bordered by a beautiful 2-mile long, lightly-populated curved beach. It
Heaven fronts right on the beach and overlooks the entire bay and beach from the third floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides (and the ceilings are high) and a view of the Island of Saba off in the distance. Las Arenas Beach Club is a very high-end 12-unit condominium complex right in the middle of Simpson Bay Beach (and one of the finest in St. Maarten); and this third-level unit, “Heaven”, is a premium unit within Las Arenas, and it's just a 2 minute walk to the beach.
The aqua color of the sea, which is so sought after in the Caribbean, completely surrounds you. There are magnificent views from all rooms—living room, dining room, kitchen, and both master bedrooms. In the living room and dining areas there is more than a 200-degree panoramic view of the sea and the beach, and on the wrap-around deck—where you can just lounge and listen to the waves or have a meal any time of day—there is a 270-degree view. You feel one with the sea.
There are usually large yachts and sailboats tied up in the bay; and in the evening you may see huge cruise ship off in the distance--an imposing sight. And after the sun sets, the many lights at the East end of the beach, from the “Village on the Hill”, provide a lovely and romantic evening view.
The weather is temperate year-round—even in the summer—and there is a constant sea breeze to keep you cool. St. Maarten is truly a lovely place to visit in any season.
Heaven is a luxurious unit: marble floors throughout (including on the very large wrap-around deck), marble baths, high ceilings, a modern high-end kitchen, beautiful furnishings, glass doors that can be slid out of sight, and electric storm shutters on the outside of all windows. The thick concrete walls, ceilings, and floors provide excellent sound proofing and security.
The Las Arenas complex is gated, very secure, beautifully landscaped, and impeccably maintained. The freshwater infinity pool right next to the beach provides a lovely and pleasant respite from a day in the sun. And the seawater is warm, clear, clean, devoid of seaweed, with moderate waves due to the protection of the bay. It’s an ideal place to swim, and the beach could not be any closer.
There are many amenities: large digital flat-screen Sony OLED television in the living room flat-screen TVs in both master bedrooms, cable service, high-speed wireless internet, high-end appliances in the gourmet kitchen including dishwasher and a wine cooler, two safes for valuables, secure covered parking, and maid service. Access is either by elevator or by spacious outdoor stairs and walkways with their own lovely views.
Not far off are many restaurants offering wide-array of sea foods and various ethnic foods. It’s a short drive to a number of markets and supermarkets carrying the usual stateside choice of foods and beverages, but also offering wonderful French pastries, breads, cheeses, pates and wines.
Bakeries, pharmacies, gas stations, car rental agencies, and the airport are all reasonably nearby.
There are many activities available including sailing, snorkeling, diving, deep-sea fishing, riding wave-runners, boat tours, touring the French side, visiting the butterfly farm, and traveling to neighboring islands to sight-see and shop.
Heaven is a no-pet and no-smoking unit.
It doesn’t get much better than this. As the reviews show, Heaven really lives up to its name. (According to VRBO, our reviews rank in the top 1% of our market.) Summary: Easy Beach Access. Beautiful views and close to many local restaurants and stores. We arrived late due to our flight and had no rental car and were pleasantly surprised to see water in the fridge. A welcome need after a long day at the airport. The owner was informative and kind. There is pretty much anything you would need in the kitchen and plenty of games for family time. We enjoyed our stay and were sad to go.

Summary: There are no words to adequately describe Janet's beautiful condo on Simpson Bay. From the moment you enter the unit and see the views from the stack back sliding glass doors you are immediately welcomed by the stunning blue waters and ocean breeze.... It truly is paradise!! The condo is well stocked with everything you could possible need to make your stay super comfortable. The property itself was immaculate, well maintained and the location is excellent and super easy to launch out from to explore the island. We loved the proximity to the airport for ease on travel days and absolutely loved watching the planes overhead from the balcony, while swimming in the ocean and beautiful pool. Janet is a wonderful host and her housekeeper was amazing and super helpful! We are already dreaming and planning our next visit!!

Summary: Walking in the front door to this property, my breath was literally taken away. It's nothing short of stunning. The views are unlike anything we've ever experienced, and we've visited 7 or so Caribbean Islands over the years. The blue water was crystal clear and the sound of the waves immediately takes any stress away. The Infinity pool is also stunning. We walked to the beach (with private gate/entrance) every day with the kids to boogie board, then hung out by the pool. There are a few restaurants that are a short walk down the beach. The condo itself is perfect. We arrived a few minutes before check-in, and the amazing, wonderful Cora was still there, so we were able to say hi to her. The rooms are spacious, with a king bed in the master and two queen (or maybe they were full?) beds in the second bedroom. Having 2.5 bathrooms was also nice. The kitchen was also perfect for cooking and had everything you need. Literally every room except for the half bath had a stunning view. The house was extremely clean and well cared for. The condo is on the 3rd floor, so just above the palm tree line for the best views from every angle. You could conceivably walk everywhere needed (breakfast at Cafe Atlantico was clutch!), but we were glad to have a rental car to go exploring. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend this property, Janet, and Cora and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Summary: My wife and family have rented several properties over the years and this place was the most relaxing property that we ever stayed at. We all just enjoyed the condo, pool, ocean/beach and didn't venture out except to the grocery store and a couple of drives around the island. We all had been there before on a cruise so we were pretty familiar with the sites. The only minor drawback with the location were the large rocks in the ocean right in front of the condo. However, just a few yards to the left or right of the rocks are nice sandy beaches. Communication with the owner and Constance was excellent! We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: Our stay at “ heaven” was absolutely amazing. I traveled with my husband and 2 year old daughter . Every component of the stay was truly perfect. While the pictures of the unit are accurate & beautiful, it’s hard to explain how magical this unit is until you see it in person. It was clean, spacious and the views from each room were breathtaking . The balcony was large and a beautiful spot to relax . The pool/ beach was amazing and quiet . The entire week we never had anyone in the pool with us! We enjoyed walking down the beach to Mary boons/ Karakter for lunch. The Simpson Bay Area had great restaurants that we loved exploring. Janet was absolutely wonderful to work with . She made the booking and check in processes easy and was so helpful with recommendations . She was very kind during our stay and took time to check in on us. Cora ( the housekeeper ) was also lovely. We made memories on this trip that will last a lifetime and we are incredibly grateful we found this rental. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in an amazing unit with a gorgeous pool/ beach access this is your place. You will not regret it. We are all looking forward to returning again.
