Summary: We intersected with a major snowstorm that blanketed the mountains around the lake with white. After getting the massive pile of snow on the deck down to below eye level, we were rewarded with exceptional views of the lake. The house was beautiful and conveniently located near Palisades and Tahoe City. It was a great home base when we couldn't reach the slopes and wanted to cook and play games. We had good wifi for remote work and everything needed for a great vacation.

Summary: Stayed here for four nights with my wife and 2 kids, along with grandpa, great aunt, and another close friend young family. We loved the house and Tahoe City. Amazing views of the lake from the house and very close to ski resorts. Beautiful home and we very much enjoyed. The only reason I'm giving 4 not 5 stars is we lit a log in the fireplace on the second night and despite the chimney vent being open, when it finished burning the smoke wouldn't exit and the house and upstairs rooms smelled terribly like smoke and the smoke alarms went off at 1a and 3a waking everyone up including the young kids. That was not exactly fun. We didn't end up lighting a fire any of the other nights unfortunately which we would have liked to do.

Summary: This rental was as good as it looks online and maybe better. The location was terrific, south of Tahoe City so avoided the traffic each night going through that clogged area. We were 20 minutes from Palisades Tahoe and Alpine ski areas. The house has a great fireplace and wood available in the garage. The kitchen is modern and open, a lovely place to hang out. Lots of games and the extra bedroom was in another hang out area with a small mini kitchen that we did not use as well as an air hockey table. The view can't be beat and would be a great place to stay in summer as well.

Summary: A beautiful lake-view property, very luxurious. Kitchen and bathrooms well stocked with all the basics. Hairdryer even came with a diffuser (very nice perk as a curly girl :) ). Deck with hot tub overlooking the lake was so pleasant - we sat in there in the day time and watched the sailboats on the lake and the woodpeckers in the trees around us. So relaxing. Definitely bookmarking this property for a return visit!!
