Charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation home in the heart of Lutsen, it's a recreational paradise.
Our home was professionally decorated and it's very comfortably furnished. The master bedroom suite offers a private retreat after a hard day at play. There's a whirlpool for two and a private bath and every window offers views of mountains, trees or Lake Superior.
Lutsen's ski hills are just a mile up Ski Hill Road, you can see the ski runs from the master bedroom window. This is the best skiing in Midwest! Miles of scenic snowmobile trails through Superior National Forest accessible directly from our home.
Hundreds of miles of spectacular hiking trails criss cross the forests and mountains. Mountain biking and horseback riding are available at the top of the hill. Kids of all ages will love the Alpine Slide just up the road. Ride the new 8 passenger Gondola to the top of Moose Mountain and have lunch on the deck of the chalet, it's a spectacular view! Golfers, Superior National Golf course offers 27 holes of beautiful scenery and challenging golf right across Ski Hill Road. Bikers, the newest section of the Gitchi-Gami State trail is just a 1/4 of a mile down Ski Hill Road. Enjoy a smooth ride along the lake, over the waterfalls in Temperance River Park and all the way to Cross River. Walk to the North Shore WInery across Lodge Lane.
Set in Superior National Forest with no buildings behind it, just lots of trees. Fabulous 3 season porch. There's a private fire ring to gather around for evenings under the stars and let me tell you, they are spectacular here. It's the ideal vacation home for families and friends. Close to everything you love about the north shore, but away from the busy resorts.

Summary: We loved Jo's place. Very comfortable, and "easy to operate" because she gives great instructions. The location was fantastic. We enjoyed a bonfire out back, and spent a lot of time on the back porch, or in front of the stone fireplace. We made all of our breakfasts and a few meal there. The kitchen is well stocked with useful tools and appliances. Highly recommend it to anyone!

Summary: This cabin was absolutely perfect! It was in a great location right off of Hwy 61 to serve as our home base for exploring the North Shore. Close to the winery to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine and take in some live music. Also close to the bike trail for a scenic ride on a great and mostly flat trail. The cabin was phenomenal — absolutely adorable and so very homey, spacious for us to spread out and relax, and had a wonderfully appointed kitchen so that we could cook and stay in if we felt too tired to venture back out for dinner after a long day of hiking and taking in all the sites. And Jo was a fantastic host — she was welcoming and gracious and a great resource for additional information to help us plan our adventures. Her communications were easy and helpful and set us up for a wonderful time enjoying the North Shore! I can’t say enough good things about our stay in her beautiful home!

Summary: This was a perfect getaway location and centrally located for all the sites we wanted to visit. Jo was helpful and responded quickly when needed. We enjoyed the back deck and four seasons porch. The North Shore Winery is conveniently located next door with wonderful views of Lake Superior. We highly recommend.

Summary: This was our second stay at Lutsen’s cutest vacation home, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again someday! This cabin is perfect for our needs. We appreciate the cleanliness of the home, the comfortable beds, the screened in porch, (Miraculously though, we saw very few mosquitoes this time around so could comfortably sit anywhere outside) the close proximity to the beauty of the North Shore, shopping, quality restaurants, (Angry Trout is a family favorite) and being within walking distance to North Shore Winery is just icing on the cake. Jo is always so responsive and has equipped the home with everything we could possibly need. After spending a few nights here, it sure was hard heading back to the Missouri heat and humidity. I’m ready to come back already!
