Positive: WONDERFULLY PEACEFUL. SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WELCOMING HOSTS.

Negative: Mattresses need updating as two of us did not sleep well on them. Bath needs a hand grip for safety getting out of bath. Beautiful soft water, but makes it extra slippery climbing out. Finally, a shower curtailn would be better than the folding shower screen.

Summary: We enjoyed our visit, but a couple of updates would give the property a full score.

Positive: Good location for exploring the SW part of Dartmoor. Although on a working farm was a very quiet location. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Lots of space in the property. Good value for money.

Negative: The decor and furnishings are pretty dated but if, like me, you're just using the property as a base to explore then I don't see this as a big issue.

Positive: Location was very quiet but close to Ivybridge. You could walk straight onto the moor from the front door up through some woods. Easy to get to other attractions in the area. Beds were comfortable, plenty of storage if you need it. The kitchen was well equipped and supplied with things like washing-up liquid, tea towels and oven gloves which are sometimes missing. The table in the kitchen was a generous size for 4. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. There was a great vintage HiFi in the sitting room and a very useful desk area. The sofa and armchair in the sitting room were very comfortable. Extra downstairs toilet was nice to have.

Negative: The shower was just about ok. You'll be disappointed if you're used to a great flow rate. Temp control was fine. Bath towels were a bit small. Glad we brought our bath sheets from home. Advertised woodburner was out of action which was a shame as it was rather chilly while we were there.

Summary: Peaceful, rural spot with good links to the area.
