After a bucolic ride along the Pigeon River, you arrive at a rustic, industrial cabin with high end amenities and beautiful views. Inside features a modern kitchen with custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The living area includes leather furniture and gas fireplace. If that’s not enough, the large bathroom contains a fully tiled room with 2 shower heads. The grand bedroom leads out to private patio.
This is one of two adjoining cabins, although proximal, allows for amazing privacy.
A gem of a location. Mature, private woodland provides a backdrop for all of the windows inside the cabin. Long range mountain views can be seen outside. You can watch wildlife from your living room and bedroom windows, such as pheasants, woodpeckers, red squirrels, deer, and many varieties of song birds right on property. Hiking trails are on site, and biking and fishing are available by the river within walking distance.
Excellent sightseeing and activities that are in the vicinity can easily be done with day trips to the following: For a relaxed couples retreat in a mountain setting, head to the small city of Asheville in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Explore the historical small town of Waynesville or head to Asheville with the grandiose Biltmore Estate or choose from many fantastic restaurants and local breweries in the area.
Explore the many local outdoor activities all less than 30 minutes away: Ski and snowboard at Cataloochee Ski Resort. Hike along nearby Max Patch, widely acclaimed as the most scenic part of the Appalachian Trail. Watch elk in Cataloochee Valley. Drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and explore the waterfalls and nature trails. Fish, boat, or picnic at Lake Junaluska. It’s a nature lover’s Paradise.

Summary: It was Amazing! The Host Thom was very accessible! Answered question very expediently. Was accommodating in a Unique lodging circumstance. I could Live There! Place reminded me me of a European Mountain Retreat. Loved the double Dutch windows.

Summary: Thom is a great host and very welcoming. He even recommended a couple local establishments that we took advantage of and they were great. Communication was easy, friendly and just the right amount. The cabin is so beautiful and yet homey. It had everything we needed and was so relaxing! The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We would definitely stay in this cabin again.

Summary: I chose this property based on high reviews by others. I fully agree that this property exceeded my expectations The cabin had lots of nice amenities and the setting was awesome. The place was clean and so comfortable. Thom (the host) was on top of everything and promptly answered everything as well as provided us great info on things to do and see. I hope to get back to this area again and definitely would request this property again and hopefully stay a little longer next time

Summary: A beautiful setting in the North Carolina mountains. The cabin is warm and inviting, furnished in beautiful antiques, with a nicely appointed kitchen. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom shower needs to be seen to be believed. If you want a spend some time in a mountain retreat, this is your cabin.

Summary: My husband and I stayed overnight at this cabin. We had plenty of room at the location and our host, Thom, was attentive to our needs and left us fresh tomatoes from his garden. We saw 4 deer on the property and had a relaxing evening.

Summary: It was a very comfortable and relaxing place, was near where we wanted to fish and close to cherokee, Maggie valley and pigeon forge area, cabin was extremely clean, and the prices to check in and out easy as can be, Enjoyed the place and the follow up from the owner as well, date this one of the best . Plan on staying here again with a getaway for me and my lady for just relaxation and romance
