This is a lovely & charming house from the end of the 18th century, with thick stone walls, high roofs and antique wooden floors. On the top,the property has a nice and comfortable outside patio, rare in Saint Martin downtown.
We especially paid attention to get importance to space and comfort ( 90 m2, for a 2 bed rooms property).
We realized a complete refurbishing in 2010.
All technical parts are new (kitchen, bathroom, paints, electricity, heating, beds, domestic appliances,...) and the rest is designed accordingly to the charming Ile de Ré style, mixing comfortable and antique furnitures.
The house is located inside the city walls in the historic part. Outside the noisy area, it’s still close to the harbor and the market.

Summary: Couldn't have been in a better spot, an easy walk down the hill to the harbour for restaurants and ice cream. Facilities as described, it's a nice small villa but it's the location that makes it perfect.

Summary: We spent a very nice time in this house. The location is extremely good and the environment is very pleasant. From shopping to a short shopping spree, everything is sorted within walking distance. There are also countless restaurants and cafes. We also think St Martin is the best place on the island. The house offers everything you need to spend a relaxing but not boring time.

Summary: This is a nice, well-kept old house, quiet but near the harbour, restaurants and, for us importantly, the food market. It has a lovely courtyard if you want to have your meals outside. Everything was fine and as promised from booking to departure. By far the nicest place we have stayed in St Martin.

Summary: We very much enjoyed our second stay at the house. It is well equipped and has a lovely traditional elegance. We particularly like the seating area outside. It is in a very convenient position close to the shops and harbour but still nice and quiet. We look forward to visiting again.

Summary: Great house, in a perfect location in the heart of the village. Walking distance to all restaurants , bars , shops. The house is beautifully decorated with everything you need. The courtyard is secluded and great for early morning coffee and late night drinks.

Summary: This is our second visit to Juliette’s house, we have had a fantastic stay yet again. The house is in a fantastic location right in the centre of St Martin, within easy walking distance to many restaurants and the harbour. Summary: A lovely old house located very centrally close to the port in Saint Martin, Ile de Re. Sympathetically and stylishly refurbished and well equipped. The terrace particularly was loved by our children. We would love to stay again.
