Stonewall apartment at rear of shop, with full kitchen , living area with log burner, large bathroom with walk in shower, and loft bedroom above . the loft has a queensize bed , but the peaked ceiling tops out at 5 ft 2ins , so may not be suitable for real tall people ?! This apartment stays cool in summer with the stone walls , but gets cosy with the fire going on those cooler nights .
Guests often wake up to see elk nibbling on trees from the bedroom window , without even getting out of bed !
If you enjoy peace and quiet and clear mountain air , then this is for you !
Just feet away from the Gila National forest , hiking , rock hunting, and lots of native Indian history abound .
If you have horses we can accommodate them too !
There is a futon sofa in the living area , which makes into a bed for extra guest.

Summary: This property is on the premises of an equine boarding and training facility. It is a working facility; it is not a high class, foo-foo place. That being said, the property owners are delightful, friendly, down-to-earth folks with a very interesting past and quite willing to share their experiences. The loft apartment is basic and is not air-conditioned. The owners are very receptive to sharing their covered porch for pleasant conversation and a drink or two. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Be sure to visit Mogollon on a weekend, and the Catwalk. The cliff dwellings are worth a visit, too.

Summary: Great place and the hosts were fantastic. This is a truly unique place it was a stone wall garage that was turned into a living quarters. It has a wood stove, and is just perfect for a small group of people. I used it for a deer hunt in the area and I must say there are no deer around but lots of elk. Beautiful area and lots of nature to see. Loved the little loft apartment and will definitely be returning to use it in the future.

Summary: The property location is wonderful. Nice, clean, and cozy! All the comforts of home in this just right sized cabin. The owner is by far the sweetest person - made us some apple crumble that was a treat. I definitely recommend this stay and hope to get back there soon!
