Summary: There's nothing available in the hotel to purchase, and the restaurant doesn’t open until 4. The staff encourages you to go to the mall area, but there are probably only two or three restaurants open, making it really not a good location to stay in. I stayed here previously, but they used to have a Starbucks inside the hotel. Even if you want a midday coffee, their café is already closed for the day, making it just not worth the price. They charge $12 a bottle in the room for water. closest place to get a coffee in the morning is about a 10 minute walk. if they’re gonna charge a premium price, make sure you have premium items available for your guest.

Summary: First time staying in Hollywood for a friend’s wedding. I’m a Hyatt/Marriott/Hilton loyalist so Loews was an adventure. Check-in was smooth and pleasant and Anthony was particularly friendly. He kindly debriefed me of the facilities and addressed questions I had regarding the vicinity. Its connection to Ovation next door allows easy in-and-out through the Dolby theater and although the area is full of tourists on a daily basis, hotel itself is insulated from external noise. I’d recommend this location for movie buffs, closer vicinity to the studios, and also the Griffith observatory.

Summary: We had an amazing time at Lowes. Customer service is the name of their game. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and caring. There was a maintenance issue in our room that was immediately remedied. I’m still dreaming about the comfortable bed and pillows that enveloped us every night. This is a great place to stay!

Summary: The rooms are not as modern and updated as some other Loews. Dining choices inside the hotel are limited depending on time of day, but the hotel connects to a mall next door with other options. The area itself felt safe enough considering Hollywood Blvd is a mixed bag. It was highly trafficked and made it feel safe even though we did pass multiple unhoused, drug addicted and mentally ill. The hotel itself can’t control that I know and it is otherwise convenient to many attractions we were interested in. The room was a nice size, the pool was acceptable (a bit dirty/gritty on the floor) and we traveled with school aged children. Overall, we would stay there again.

Summary: The room is clean but seems a bit worn down. We had some trouble charging our devices (the charging ports are a bit loose) and we were provided a connecting room (we did have a situation where someone from the next door room tried to open our door, but fortunately it was locked). Not extremely high quality for the price you pay, but at least you are a close enough to downtown hollywood to experience the tourist attractions. There is also a shopping mall connected to the hotel which is convenient for food options and shopping. Would probably consider staying a bit further from the hollywood location next time since we would get more for our money, but if you want a safe/convenient location this is a decent choice.

Summary: The room was very spacious and beautiful and definitely had potential, but several issues impacted our stay. The light fixtures in the restroom were crooked, and the vanity light didn’t work at all. The AC didn’t get cold, so we ended up sleeping in a warm room, which made things uncomfortable. The mini fridge wasn’t working properly, we had to unplug & plug it back in to get it running, and still had to buy fresh drinks in the morning. Some outlets in the room didn’t work, which was frustrating. On top of that, we were given the room farthest from the elevator, which was a pain after walking all day at the amusement park. It was late and we were all exhausted, so we didn’t bother to bring any of these issues to the staff’s attention at the time. That said, if these problems had been addressed, this could have easily been a 5-star experience. Now for the positives: The hotel is conveniently connected to the Hollywood Mall, which was a huge plus. The bar setup in the hotel is beautiful, and they offer valet parking and breakfast (both for a fee). The valet area can get crowded, but they do their best to get you in and out quickly. We booked through Hotels.com, which included a meal credit that really helped. The room came with bottled water, though it’s $11 per bottle, so be aware. Hotels.com also gave us a much better rate than booking directly. My husband is a rewards member, but we found that Hotels.com provided more value. Staff was amazing
