Positive: Continental breakfast was good, especially the fresh muffins. The location was beautiful and near nice hiking trails. Owner was friendly & engaging, loves where he lives, and had many helpful suggestions of things to do in the area. I loved all of the decor, including the stuffed animals.
Negative: The stopper in the tub did not function to be able to fill the tub for a bath. We didn't find the thermostat in the bedroom until we were leaving - our fault I suppose.
Summary: Unique, comfortable converted barn, with a gracious and friendly owner.

Reviewer Type: Couple
Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The decor was unique and fascinating, although I didn't care for all the taxidermy. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in, and the sheets were very high quality. Breakfast was good - fruit salad was exceptional. The garden on the property and the walking paths in the surrounding area were beautiful.
Negative: There should have been a warning on the website about how many stairs there are, and the fact that you have to climb 19 stairs just to get to the main floor. My husband and I are both in our mid 70's and it was very challenging for us, especially since we had yet another flight to get to our bedroom. That might preclude us from staying there again, even though we were otherwise quite happy with the place. WIFI was exceedingly slow.
Summary: Unique surroundings in beautiful setting

Positive: The muffins were delicious!
Negative: No AC in upstairs bedroom but open windows and fan helped to keep us cool.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay.
