Lodge Eagle`s nest is a comfortable chalet (terraced house) with private garden, 2 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms, open plan living room with kitchen and dining area, wood pellet burner. The bedrooms have good sized double beds, the master bedroom comes with an en suite bath with tub and toilet. The second bathroom come with a walk-in shower.

During winter either snow chains or a 4 x 4 are necessary. The mountain road is a paved road and is cleared very well but nevertheless snow chains or a 4 x 4 may be required. The next supermarket and doctor office are both located in the valley at the town centre of Uttendorf which is 17km away.
From September 2020 to approximately 2025 we will be facing some issues because of a construction site 600m nearby. From beginning of 2020 until early 2022 they will develop a tunnel and afterwards a cavern waterpower plant will be installed inside the mountain. We kindly ask you for your understanding and hope that you will enjoy the outstanding mountain scenery around the Weißsee Gletscher.
The lake is a reservoir and the water is drained and dammed several times a day to produce electricity.
Therefore, unfortunately, it is not allowed to swim in the lake. The water would also be much too cold for bathing, it never rises above 10 degrees.
You can splash around a bit, let your feet hang in, etc. you can do it at the upper end where the stream runs into the lake. For swimming, we recommend our great bathing lake in the valley below. Enjoy your summer days with delicious meals on site, SUPs to borrow, a slide and a children's area.

Summary: Wir konnten einen sehr schönen Urlaub verleben. Die gemütliche Unterkunft hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Wir (4 Personen) hatten reichlich Platz. Für die Ski gab es auch eine Abstellmöglichkeit. Die Baustelle hatte keine störende Wirkung. Wir werden gern wieder buchen.

Summary: Wir haben uns in der Lodge sehr wohlgefühlt. Sie war sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. An Utensilien in der Küche hat es an nichts gefehlt. Besondern schön war die Nutzung des Kamins und die Fußbodenheizung. Die Unterkunft ist trotz der derzeitigen Baustelle in der Umgebung sehr ruhig gewesen. Sie ist auch für Hunde sehr gut geeignet, da man direkt um den See laufen kann. Der Service ist wirklich super, Check in Zeiten konnten flexibel gestaltet werden nach Absprache und es war sogar Trinkwasser in Flaschen im Haus gelagert. Alles in einem würden wir die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen und nochmal buchen. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und naturgetreu, sie liegt jedoch etwas abseits und man sollte ca. 25 Minuten einplanen , dass es eine kurvige Berghoch/ Abfahrt ist. Unser Allrad Auto war definitiv zum Vorteil. Gestört hat es uns die Lage jedoch nicht sehr. Als Verbesserung würden wir uns wünschen, dass keine weiße Bettwäsche sowie Handtücher verwendet werden. Leider wurden diese sehr schnell schmutzig. Ich denke durch Farbige Textilien, wirkt es auch nochmal einheimischer.
