Positive: Great location. Very quiet overlooking ghe Sound of Mull, and very close for the ferry. Great food cooked to order. Peter runs West Coast Wildlife Tours and is a brilliant guide for seeing and photographing wildlife in the area.

Negative: Nothing to dislike about this place, as long as you like the quiet and seclusion of the beautiful area.

Summary: Fantastic place. The owners can't do enough for you. Great food and dog friendly. We will be back.

Negative: Booking .com, stated distance but a few miles away, yes as crow flies, but not in reality, 2 hours and a ferry crossing to get there, so was exhausted when arrived, straight to bed

Positive: Location splendid if one can be allocated the rooms at the front of the building the views are very good but it seems if one goes through this particular booking method and are allocated the room at the rear, a view is non-existent but the facilities are the same , good , so try for the front room

Negative: I suppose if one could dine in the evening at the hotel it would be slightly better but there is an excellent restaurant almost alongside and so has the breakfast is very good the combination works

Positive: The location of the hotel is lovely, right on the Sound of Mull. We could sit on the bed in our room and enjoy the gorgeous view and ever-changing landscape! Our hosts Shaley and Peter were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the food very much, especially the Bonnie Prince Charlie pizza (great thin crust!) with haggis and venison and the blackberry crumble with oatmeal. It was a pleasure to visit this relatively remote and less travelled part of Scotland.

Negative: We had a very enjoyable stay with no problems, no issues.

Summary: It is a lovely place to stay in Lochaline!

Positive: Hotel and owners were lovely, and the food was fantastic. The room was exceptionally clean, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Facilities in the hotel were excellent. For anybody visiting Lochaline and the surrounding areas, I would highly recommend the Lochaline Hotel. Overall an absolutely wonderful stay.

Negative: Nothing, hotel and owners were fantastic.
