Welcome to The Retreat! This amazing 1 bedroom, 1 bath West Virginia Mountain vacation getaway is located conveniently less than 7 miles from Winterplace Ski Resort, UTV/ATV trails that lead to the Wagon Wheel and Hat Field and McCoy Trails, and 30 minutes to West Virginia's best white water rafting. The Retreat backs up to Camp Creek State Park and is 20 minutes to Pipe Stem State Park.
The Retreat comfortably accommodates up to 6 people in a cozy home-away-from-home atmosphere.
Step inside to the open concept main level and be welcomed by the wonderfully appointed living room with charming décor, a wood burning fireplace and access to the wrap around porch. There is one Queen pullout couch and one very comfortable double futon in this area.
Upon entering, you'll love stepping into the beautiful kitchen fully equipped with pots and pans, cooking essentials, a coffee maker, and more! There is an enormous island with plenty of room for preparing, cooking, and entertaining.
The Retreat features a gorgeous bedroom with one luxurious queen beds and attached large full bath with tiled shower. You'll love the convenience of the washer and dryer in the adjacent laundry room as well.
Just outside there is a full wrap around covered porch to enjoy your morning coffee or evening sunsets and just steps away a fire pit for the cool mountain evenings.
Onsite spend the afternoon taking in the sights and sounds of our 53 acre property. Enjoy the walking trails, a small pond or spend the day relaxing beside the bubbling waters of the Camp Creek. Trout fishing is available creek side.
If you are coming with a larger group please look at our other larger onsite units: The Country Cottage and/or The Lodge which can be rented together.
CLEANING PROCEDURES: My housekeepers are taking every precaution to ensure a clean and sanitary cabin for your stay.

Summary: We were in the area for an archery tournament. It was a last minute trip so limited accommodations available. I saw the listing pictures were nice easy to book. When we got there pictures didn’t do it justice. It is a roomy lovely cabin the wrap around porch is what caught my eye spent a lot of time out there.Beautiful area to walk nice fire pit and so very quiet. Also very clean,beds comfortable easy check in and out. Grounds well maintained. Was a perfect retreat!I highly recommend this listening.

Summary: If you are looking for a great place to get away this is it! The owner is very nice and responsive. We were able to play in the creek at the bottom of the hill which was very nice (but keep in mind a rigorous walk). It was a great central location to all the parks near by that we wanted to see, as I was mostly interested in all the waterfalls. Definitely once in a lifetime experience.

Summary: What a hidden gem in the hills of WV! The owner was so nice and is nearby and available if needed. Excited to go back. It was perfect for our family. Try this place out, you will not be dissapointed.

Summary: Place was beautiful. First night we didn't have any heat but property manager made sure to have it fixed by the next morning and refunded us for the entirety of the first night.

Summary: Our family of 5 stayed here for a long weekend ski trip at winterplace and we really enjoyed the wooded location and amenities provided by the owner of this property. All the furnishings were clean, new and quite thoughtfully selected. We would definitely stay here again!
