Positive: The view from our room was really beautiful! The room has a nice rustic, beachy charm to it

Negative: Just a few things. We were given the wrong building number so we had to search to find the room. We noticed the tub faucet kept dripping, wouldn't turn off. As far as security, might want to consider a deadbolt style lock. The current one is the type someone could easily use a card to get in.

Positive: We stayed for only one night due to an early morning appointment in Ruskin, but we found that this property would be excellent for an extended stay. Very quiet, first floor water view. Kitchen has all the basics to prepare meals. Large fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Large closet and plenty of drawer storage space. Comfortable queen bed. A/C and heat!! (we happened to visit during a chilly night) Bathroom was a little tight, but manageable. Water pressure was excellent and hot water was plentiful. The rear exit into a hallway was a little surprising (the hallway looks like it is being upgraded to new carpeting at some point), but it appears that guests to the complex mainly use their front doors/patio areas. The owner was very good at sending emails and updates about the property, however, we felt like all of the information could have been sent in one email. We were visited by the complex manager (who knocks very loudly), he delivered to us a key for gaining entrance into the resorts amenities: pools, pickleball etc. Front door entrance has a code lock, which is great for easy access at check-in time. We did see a security vehicle and the main entrance into the peninsula does have a guardhouse. A guest pass is required to gain entrance after 9pm. There are two restaurants on the peninsula and a marina where you can rent/charter a boat. A very new Publix Supermarket and the newly opened Moffitt Cancer Center/South Shore location are both located about 15 minutes away, but in opposite directions.

Negative: There are some areas of the peninsula that are blocked off by fencing and appear to have been that way for some time. This does not apply to Little Harbor at all, but you do have to maneuver around through the drive past it in order to get to Little Harbor. The beach area does have paid parking, but walking there from the property is maybe 5 minutes.

Summary: We could only visit for one night, but would love to return for an extended-stay vacation!!
