Positive: Location was perfect.

Negative: I would expect to have a table and chair to sit down in the room, especially when I sleep in a top bunk. I also would like to feel safe with my luggage in a share room and have a safe locker- one of the persons I shared a room with has stolen my embroidered, commemorative shawl. I also would like to have a possibility to book a type of bed in a shared room.

Summary: Nice place and staff, but I lost trust for room fellows.

Positive: The location was excellent - walking distance to major sites, museums, dining and shopping - and a stone’s throw from Canberra’s bus stops and tram stations for the places further afield I wished to visit. The bed was very comfortable, and the facilities were clean. Despite containing several dorms, and other options (I stayed in the Queen Compact), guests were respectful of Drifter’s “quiet time after 10” policy and I slept soundly. On Friday evening, I had some wonderful conversations with fellow travellers from all over the world as we shared a complimentary charcuterie platter and beer.

Summary: Well located, well priced, with clean shared facilities.
