The two-storey house built in 1900, is part of a patrimonial colony of fishermen´s houses. It has a total size of 430 sq ft in the interior, (40 sqms) plus roof terrace and a garden with 215 sq ft.
On the ground floor you can comfortly enjoy preparing and having meals in a sit-in kitchen, while you find a beautiful bathroom with bath tub and romatic sleeping room in first floor.
The sleeping room is equipped with a cupboard a double bed and a sofa and has direct access to a roof terrace, from which you have a fabulous view of the colony, the neighbourhood gardens and the village.
A small table with chairs offers the possibility of having breakfast there at the terrace or as you like also in the small private garden, in which you will find a dining table with seating accomadation, too.
The historic fisherman´s house has been refurbished faithfully in winter/spring 2017 with a special emphasis on high quality materials: e.g. the ground floor is tiled with limestone, the bathroom with spanish cement tiles, the bedroom is equipped with oak parquet and lovingly refurbished antique or handmade furniture in the whole house and garden.
The house is also equipped with heating and wood stove, which gives cosyness also in autumn/winter season.
On request there can be placed a baby bed for 30 Euros in total.

Summary: This is a beautiful little house. Much attention to detail to really make it a special stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful! The location is perfect, so nicely situated in the quaint town of Vilassar de Mar.

Summary: This place is fantastic. It’s in a really cute part of the village which is charming. There are shops and restaurants nearby. It’s very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the wood stove. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, milk, sugar, orange juice, bottled water, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. But you will have to buy ice, which they have at a little market around the block. Our phones did not work but Ellen was great and we worked everything out through the VRBO app. If you are worried about being outside of the city the train is reliable and gets you to the heart of town quickly. I’m really glad we stayed here!

Summary: We had a great relaxing stay at the little dream house, it's just the right size for two people with everything beautifuly planned to fit the space available. We didn't want for anything. For people with mobility issues the small stairway which connects both the ground floor and first floor may be a challenge as could showering in the Bathtub but we managed addiquatly. The extra outside spaces were a bonus and nice areas to have and use in the mornings and evenings. The house is in a lovely Spanish residential area with plenty of very good restraunts, bars and a veriaty of shops to walk to, we also found it convenient to take the train from the nearby station to explore Barcelona. Bernd and Ellen were on hand with great information and gave their time to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend a stay at this exquisite and unique property.

Summary: We absolutely loved the adorable little house! It was exactly as described and pictured. The town of Vilassar de Mar is actually a bit bigger than we expected with many restaurants and shops so we didn't run out of options over our 2-week stay. It was wonderful and we would definitely visit again.

Summary: When we first mapped out the location I was just a bit concerned about where we had booked. However it turned out to be the exact opposite and our experience was pretty much perfect from start to finish. The apartment is quite cozy and for a couple that likes to cook it worked out just fine. The laundry was very useful and we found the whole place immaculately cleaned. The access is easy enough once you get a feel for the neighborhood and I was very, very pleased with how peaceful ("pin-drop quiet") the neighborhood was at night. Our host greeted us and showed us some of the "ins and outs" of staying here and it was an easy and extremely pleasant stay. The neighborhood is awesome. Quiet and sleepy till dark then bubbling alive with cafés and shopping in the evenings. We can unreservedly recommend this property and our excellent host for a getaway from the city. But if you choose to go to the city the train station is few blocks away.

Summary: Loved this beautiful apartment. The decor, cleanliness and location are amazing, The bed is incredibly comfortable. We stayed for 4 days on our way to Valencia. Vilassar de Mar is a 25 min train ride to Barcelona. The ocean is a 3 min walk. The beaches are beautiful. Ellen was so organized and very knowledgeable. Parking was available for the duration a couple of streets up. Would most definitely go back!
