Positive: Lilac cottage is one of the best holiday rentals we have ever stayed in. It was a very comfortable home-from-home and had everything and more for a really enjoyable stay. We were 3 generations of our family and we all loved the house for different reasons which would take too long to list but include the lovely enclosed garden, the comfortable sofas, the kitchen with its massive cooker, the amazing beds, the peace and quiet, the village of redmire itself. We loved the storage and the decorative touches too. The people we met in Redmire were friendly and there were lovely walks on the doorstep. Our dog had a brilliant time too. Check in and check out was easy with the lock box and there was loads of info about the house and the area in the folder and in the kitchen. We would love to stay here again the next time we are in the Dales.

Positive: Perfect getaway very clean and cosy cottage , in a lovely village with a pub within 5 mins walk. We loved our stay and will book again.

Negative: We had a question about the log burner on day 2 so messaged on booking.com and on the contact details in the cottage but never received a response before we left after a week.
