Positive: The villa was very clean, and the bed is pretty comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, e.g. they will help you to drop your laundry to laundry service etc. The breakfast was not too bad at all, and they don’t mind if you wake up late and they will still serve you breakfast, I think this holiday is all about, you don’t have to get up early and won’t miss the breakfast!
Negative: The location wasn’t too bad but in weekend the traffic was very busy, between morning and afternoon the big coaches passed with loud music to alert other oncoming vehicles
Summary: If I have to come to back to Gunung Kidul area, I would stay this villa again. We had a nice stay in Light Blue Villa

Positive: Very comfortable, excellent food, good location, swimming pool and area to relax. After busy days in Yogia. Sita, the manager, is very good and helpful as was all the staff. The local Endrayanti beach is not suitable for swimming but Sita took us to the nearby beach that is and we walked to it, 15mins, the next day. Sharing the beach on a busy Sunday with domestic tourists who had come by bus from inland Java was a rewarding experience.

Positive: We absolutely loved our stay at Light Blue Villa !! Everything was perfect, staff is lovely and really careful, the room is really clean and comfortable, the pool was great and food very good ! Thank you so much, we hope to come back one day !

Positive: Meals/Menu were great, honest home cooking…. and open later than most Warungs on beach. Had a few bintangs for sale with meal which was appreciated. Sorted us a decent scooter which was handy to check out the numerous beach’s and coves of the area.
Negative: Kids in the pool before 7 am

Positive: Beautiful set up, the bungalow was comfortable and clean, in a beautiful tended garden and the swimming pool was lovely. Most of all, Sita was a wonderful host, cooking fabulous breakfasts and dinners, explaining about Javanese food and culture and she even took us to see the sunset😊 The beaches, which were a 5 mins walk away, were beautiful but too dangerous to swim in. The area is a go to for local people from Yogyakarta and further afield so it gives a real sense of how local people enjoy their beautiful countryside and beaches
Negative: Just a little isolated if you haven’t got a scooter to explore the area

Positive: Locals on holiday at the beach were a joy to meet and interact with. At the hotel meals were beautifully crafted by the staff and very enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff, house keeping, cooking and the driver looking after us. Sita went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Would love to return again some day.
Negative: Although Tepus is a quiet backwater the road running at the front of the hotel can be noisy at times with local Buses, Jeeps and mopeds passing by.
Summary: A nice restful end to our 2 week tour of Central Java.

Positive: I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to make spontaneous decisions when traveling. After my activities in Jogja, I found myself in a similar situation, hurriedly looking for a place that was close to the ocean and away from the usual tourist crowds. To my delight, I stumbled upon a gem! It offered such a serene and comfortable atmosphere, along with a delicious breakfast at any time, and truly kind staff. It felt like a true retreat, and I was so grateful to have found it!
Negative: It's important to note that the sounds from the mosque may be a factor for some travelers. Personally, I find these sounds familiar and comforting, as I am accustomed to them from my hometown. However, for others who might not have the same experience, it could be noteworthy to consider how this may affect their stay. During my stay, I noticed there were mosquitoes in the area. However, the reception provided mosquito spray and cream, which proved to be very effective in alleviating the bites :)
