Your own private sanctuary will close at end of 2024 thanks to newly placed rules and regulations by the Banks County Commissioner.

It's all about the kids, unless you are a hiker and need a perfectly placed base camp, or you just need to get away to the peace and quiet!!!
Spring is in the air as the newborn baby horses, baby goats and calves arrive!
We added a petting area for the goats next to the apartment and new for 2024, we have added a miniature donkey named BB. She is just adorable and loves to be fed and petted.
We love to see the looks of wonderment in their eyes when they see the Milky Way for the first time while making s'mores in the fire pit.
Let them use the sidewalk chalk and draw on our large patio area in front of the apt. Adults have drawn some pretty cool pictures too!!!
Horses and goats are in pasture right next to the apartment and you can watch them from your bed!
Now that Winter has arrived, the milk way is SO easy to see. We are often in the path of the ISIS!!
Bring the dogs and let them enjoy the large fenced front yard, feel free to let them run free and off their leashes!
Bring the S'mores and use our fire pit to roast the marshmallows while gazing at the stars. No need to bring the firewood. We will provide enough for each night you are here and will lay the fire for you!!!
Come Springtime, enjoy your private 12 x 45 salt water pool. All YOURS to enjoy!!!!

The 8 point deer are our only neighbors.

Your guest house has a full kitchen with standard size refrigerator and stove. Stocked with lots of bake ware, dinnerware, silverware and basic spices and condiments. Feel free to bring your groceries and make yourself at home.
Dining area has large 6 person table along with small table to play checkers or chess
Living room has a comfortable new queen sofa bed
Bedroom has queen bed. There is a 3/4 wall separating bedroom from living room/kitchen.
Enjoy the fire pit, corn hole game or horse shoe pit and then gaze at the milky way away from the city lights!!
Smoking is permitted outside only. Lots of swings and chairs to get comfortable in the shade.
Sleeps 4 in beds, but we do allow additional people but you need to provide your own blow up bed or pile into the two queen beds. Contact me before booking.
Some people pitch a tent and camp to get a true wilderness experience!
Sometimes we leave for the weekend giving you the ENTIRE farm to yourselves!
Total privacy!!!
We do not have any cameras in or near the apartment; just ones pointing to the barn and pasture to make sure our livestock are safe.
You will required to sign a release of liability form as this is a working farm and have access to our pool.

Summary: I felt like I was visiting family. We had everything that we needed and more. There were fresh flowers in the kitchen and bedroom. The outside living was the best. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy the animals and nature. If I am ever in the area again, I will most certainly stay. I will also recommend anyone I know that is traveling to this area to stay on the farm. Loved it!!!

Summary: We needed a small place for the two of us to stay for the weekend as we celebrated the wedding of some friends. This was a perfect location for us, it was clean with lots of welcoming touches including snacks and cold drinks! The fire pit and the friendly farm animals were real highlights and the owners were helpful without being intrusive. Overall, great experience!

Summary: Breathtaking! Our first impression upon arrival at this location was the breathtaking view all around of God's country. This clean and fully furnished and stocked property is on a working farm, so you are surrounded by vast rolling green space filled with horses, goats and the cutest donkey. The host set a bonfire for us in the lovely firepit nightly, which was unexepected yet very appreciated. The host had so many small touches that made our stay feel inviting such as fresh flowers, drinks and treats. There was even a happy birthday treat waiting for my husband upon arrival. The space was clean, comfortable and conveniently located so it was a perfect base camp for all of our adventures. I cannot recommend this host and location enough! You can tell that Jill and her husband truly love sharing their little peace of heaven with others so if you plan on visitng Northern Gerogia, please consider a stay here. You will not want to leave, trust me. of heaven with othersoths.trullhoc

Summary: My two sons (17 & 11) & I stayed on Jill & Steve's farm to spend some quality time before they started back to school. They were amazing. We loved everything about our stay. I was very impressed with how clean the apartment was upon arrival..even had fresh flowers waiting for us. Loved the pool, the animals, roasting marshmallows at the fire. We brought our puppy along with us as well and she loved it. One day, we had to leave our puppy for several hours and Jill went above and beyond by tending to her while we were away, which meant so much! The day we left, Steve gave my boys real horse shoes, which they thought was awesome!

Summary: It was a lot of fun having the goats, chickens and horses just outside our guest house. The only downside is that the guest house is right next to the main house and the pool is on the on the other side of the main house. It's not a perfect place for a private romantic getaway. But to be fair, that's not how it was advertised. It is a perfect place for a family get-a-way with young kids. The hosts were wonderful and the room was stocked nicely. Highly recommended! 5-stars all the way.

Summary: From planning our vacation to when we left it was a breeze. Hosts kept in touch with us and answered any of our questions. We felt truly welcomed and everything was very clean, comfortable, and more than supplied adequate . We loved the goats, horses (saw an awesome birth) and a stubborn donkey. The hen had her chicks and the rooster made sure we knew he was there. Every day was something new but always relaxing. Children will love it all. Jill & Steve taught us so much about life on the farm. On top of all that there is a beautiful pool to chill in a fire pit to relax at night. And relaxing we did.

Summary: This place was perfect. The hosts were so nice and really went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay, even including extras like stacks in the house. The farm was beautiful and our dogs also really enjoyed the fenced in yard where we could visit and feed the animals. Everything was perfect, we will definitely be back!

Summary: "Life on the farm" could not have been a better stay. Steve and Jill go out of their way to make this a home away from home. Spotlessly clean, wonderful amenities and many little "extras" made this one of our best VRBO stays EVER! We all thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals the bread and buns that we brought for them. The kids loved the pool. The fire ring made for a perfect night of sitting around and enjoying the family time. The "rules" that are there are all for your own safety and nothing was overbearing at all. They are just common sense for country folk and sweetly informative for city folk. Steve and Jill love the country, love their animals and love showing hospitality to visitors. We couldn't be happier with this stay and heartily recommend it to anyone asking. You will not regret it!

Summary: The stay was great! Everything was set up nicely for us. We brought our dogs with us and all of us had a great time getting to see the horses, cows, goats, and donkey. The fenced in front area was great for the dogs to run around. The pool area was clean and relaxing. We were able to grill out on the propane barbecue and have smores at the the fire pit. There was good lighting outside and they had a flashlight available for us to use as well. Steve was very friendly and checked in with us each day we were there. He even invited us out to a local event where they had bluegrass playing! Unfortunately our toddler needed to go to bed, so we weren't able to go join in the fun. The apartment is well situated where there are restaurants, grocery store, and places to hike within 20+ minutes of the place. Great place to stay if you want a little farm life and be able to go out hiking and come back for a local restaurant or cooking at home.
