Positive: Perfect location. The fact it was literally on the roof and 5 storeys above the street meant there was very little noise and great views in all directions. It’s right in the old town and an easy walk to most sights. The apartment is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything I needed to feel at home. The host was welcoming and informative.

Negative: The fact it is 151 stairs from street level to reach it. This actually did me a lot of good and I was managing the climb much more easily by the end of my stay but older or less fit people need to be aware of this, especially if they are carrying heavy luggage.

Summary: Excellent location and a really lovely apartment but be aware it’s 151 steps to climb to it from street level.

Positive: Fantastic location, comfortable and included everything we needed. The views were incredible, every window with a view. Comfortable bed and sofa bed, modern kitchen with nespresso or pour over coffee maker. Although there are multiple flights of stairs to climb, it was worth it for the views, the quiet and the perch above the city. We were even treated to a fireworks show from the Basilica across the river (ringing in the Christmas season). Wonderful place to stay in Lyon.

Positive: Beautiful boutique and cozy penthouse in the hard of old Lyon. Great location! Walking distance from many Lyon landmarks, bars and restaurants.

Negative: We loved the place but if you are not ready to go up and down 6 flights of stairs to get to the penthouse, this is not the place for you.

Positive: Great location. Lovely very helpful host who carried our bags up the six flights of stairs. Apartment had everything we needed. Very comfortable stay. Grateful for the herbs, spices, oils etc in the pantry.

Negative: Stairs …162 of them 😳…but we did know about them before we arrived …we decided the stairs were part of our daily exercise! We actually got used to them!
