Domaine l'Ancienne École is a vineyard set on the plateau above the village of Vinsobres amongst its vines and neighbouring lavender fields.
Les Pré-Alpes is our apartment at the southern end of the main building and has a double bedroom with en suite shower room and roof terrace. The open plan ground floor contains the kitchen/dining area and lounge area with a wood burning stove as well as a WC. The spacious covered terrace looks out onto the pool and the Mont Ventoux in the background.
Domaine l'Ancienne École has a beautiful 14m x 5m infinity pool with wonderful views over the vines and the Mont Ventoux, shared between the 3 rentals.

Summary: Stunning location in the countryside above Vinsobres village with fantastic views across the beautiful infinity swimming pool towards Mont Ventoux. The gite was perfect for our 2 week stay, well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedroom and shower room, large covered terrace and even a roof terrace off the bedroom. The owners were friendly and helpful and very informative about their winemaking and the wine was superb! Overall a fantastic stay thank you.

Summary: The small gite was great for a couple. Had a downstairs patio and an upstairs terrace so you could follow the sun or avoid it,whatever your pleasure. We had great weather for September so the infinity pool was the real selling point. Owners gave information as needed but were unobtrusive. They were British so being able to converse in English was also a selling point even though they are fluent in French and other languages too I believe. The gite is basically appointed but sufficient for our stay. It’s modern design was pleasant. Overall we had a very pleasant 6 nights there.

Summary: We had a lovely time. Accommodation was excellent, as was the pool. A very peaceful and relaxing place with beautiful countryside all round. Our stay was too short but we hope to be back again.

Summary: The domain is located between Valreas and Vinsobre in a beautiful setting that offers many opportunities for hiking and excursions. The wine of the domain is a bonus. The apartment Les Pré Alpes is very comfortably furnished. The owners are very hospitable and helpful.

Summary: The Gites are located in a wonderful and peaceful location. They are well equipped and modern. The infinity pool adds another dimension, an ideal location for a restorative and energising holiday.

Summary: We rented the smaller of the two gites for a fortnight's stay in wine country. The gite is clean, modern and stylish. Large bedroom. Excellent shower. Good kitchen. Really wonderful views of vineyards, lavender fields and mountains. Glorious pool. Lovely terrace from which to watch the moon rise over the Mont Ventoux. Good evening strolls through the vineyards and round the lanes. Excellent provencal food markets in Nyons and Vaison. Wonderful countryside to explore (by car for us un-energetic types!) The Domaine wine is fabulous. Both the Cotes du Rhone and the Vinsobres. Anna and Will both very welcoming. Will very patient with all our questions during the tasting session. 1/2 hour drive to Gigondas, Vacqueras, Cairanne, Seguret, Sablet & Rasteau. 50mins to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Tavel and Lirac. Maybe 70mins to the Northern Rhone wines. Just in case this sounds a little too gushing, the wifi is a bit temperamental. We were very sad to leave one of our best holiday stays of all time. Only consolation, we booked straight away to return in 2015! S&H

Summary: The photos on the website will never do justice to the beautiful setting of this apartment. All communication with the owners was clear, prompt and useful. The apartment is exactly as advertised - modern, clean and bright, with all you could need for a self-catering holiday. We spent many hours lying by the huge pool enjoying the views across vines and lavender fields to Mont Ventoux. There are supermarkets a short drive away and many of the villages have markets which are worth visiting. Anna and Will were friendly and helpful but never intrusive (and their wine is lovely!). We have stayed in many private-let apartments and this is one of the best.
