Positive: Breakfast on the balcony was wonderful. The view- spectacular The owner served a delicious breakfast- eggs made to order Hosts were very helpful and friendly/informative. Room decor was impressive- large space

Negative: entering the Inn property could be improved- clean the entrance awning- clean/paint the front steps- flowers in flower box could be better maintained. The Inn looked a little "tired". First impressions make a difference

Positive: The location was great. Owners were very pleasant and informative with great knowledge of the area. Gave us some good recommendations whilst we were in the area for food and things to do.

Negative: We were slightly disappointed with how clean our room was. There were quite a few cobwebs in and around the room and it felt quite tired in places. The bedding was clean but felt well worn and as such abit scratchy.

Positive: Les Magnolias is a beautiful house, overlooking the Dordogne River. Our ensuite bedroom was enormous and decorated in a tasteful style, in keeping with the age of the house and with the promised view over the river. There is a large swimming pool with a view and plenty of loungers and chairs. There is a balcony on the next floor up, with fabulous views over the river. This available to all guests and if weather permits an excellent breakfast is served there. Owner kind enough to recommend excellent restaurant and ring and book it for us. Lalinde is a good base for exploring the Dordogne area. One can walk into town but we preferred to take the car.

Negative: Only minor but check in is not permanently manned. However someone soon turns up in response to the bell or a phone call.

Summary: Fabulous view of the river and an extra large room with a very comfortable bed.
