Positive: It was decorative with character. The grounds are beautiful, the owner Jean Michel cannot so enough for you. He is very helpful and relaxed and his dog is lovely too. The rooms are decorated individually but with personality. There is plenty of places to sit and take in the view in the garden and a lovely saloon with a piano. Breakfast was delicious. Very French with pastries, bread, cheese and ham. Really enjoyed our stay just a shame we were only staying 1 night on route to our final destination. Could have stayed all week. There are lots of nice parks and historic buildings in Alençon. We ate dinner at Chez Fano, one of the best dinners ever had!

Negative: We loved it but if u have any mobility issues there are lots of steps and uneven surfaces as it is an old building.

Positive: What a beautiful house. Right in the town centre. High quality finishes feels like boutique hotel. Welcome owner.. offered us complimentary drinks on arrival which we enjoyed in the lovely garden. Very good breakfast.. you get ham and boiled eggs on top of usual french brecky options. Would definitely visit again.

Positive: Stephane greeted us with a very warm welcome. He showed us round and to our room which was fabulous, as was the whole place! It was in a beautiful setting and within walking distance of the town. Stephane gave us a welcome drink and recommendations of places to eat dinner and the one we chose didn’t disappoint. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and Stephane made bacon and scrambled egg for us which was delicious! Overall a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to go back!

Summary: Fabulous!!! Wish we had longer but will be back!!

Positive: We stayed overnight here one our way north to the Caen ferry. It was everything we had hoped for with a pleasant, friendly host, delightful accommodation and a perfect location within a few minutes walk of Alencon's historic centre with a great selection of restaurants. Breakfast was delicious also and perfect to enable an easy and early start back on the road
