Positive: Clean and comfortable. Having a pool and sauna a bonus. Evening meal in the adjoining pub was exceptional

Negative: We found it odd that they stopped serving food at 6.30pm in the evening.

Negative: 5am cockerel awakenin. I Might have been unlucky (stayed in June)but I didn't get the sleep I'd wanted. Room 1 has an adjoining door so I could hear everything next door.

Positive: Fantastic location. Lovely meal in the pub next door. Comfortable bed, nice size room. Plenty of parking.

Negative: It's a bit of a soulless place. Once booked in, there were no staff to be seen in the evening or the next morning. I left at 9.30 am.

Negative: Unsure how this property is a four star, as it did feel very basic as to what it could offer. The rooms are tired, need a good lick of paint. The bathroom I was in had mould around the bath and cracks in the wall and paintwork, which doesn't scream luxury. Dust in the corner of the rooms and spiders webs/spiders in bedroom - not ideal. Think the whole place could just do with a little bit of love.

Positive: Excellent location. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Friendly pub in which to relax, eat and drink. Lounge, leisure pool and conservatory are useful extra areas. Lots of helpful suggestions in the visitors’ book. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Convenient parking. We would visit again.

Positive: Everything about our stay was excellent, from checking in to checking out. I’m taking about friendly staff, both in the pub and the hotel, the food was excellent in both quality and value for money. The room, bed, bathroom were all clean and very comfortable. We didn’t make use of the pool, but it looked well maintained and again, very clean and tidy. Quite a find in a beautiful part of West Yorkshire.
