Positive: We stayed three nights, which we very much enjoyed. Our room looked out over the gardens, though we couldn’t really fully enjoy the view or listen to the birdsong because of the intense heat- 30/40c one day. The ac worked well and our room was cool. The gardens are beautiful and our host and his cousin were very welcoming and joined us for breakfast each day, and told us of the history of the Prieure , the church and gardens, and of the local area. This is an excellent spot from which to visit Blois and Chaumont. Five stars. David and Wilma

Positive: We had an incredible stay, thanks in large part to our outstanding hosts, Antoine and François, who made us feel right at home. The property is beautiful and truly one of a kind. We were very comfortable in our large, air-conditioned room, which was perfect for our family of four. To top it all off, the breakfasts were amazing specially Marie’s delightful panna cotta!

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at the priory - a beautiful old mansion with lovely gardens, comfortable rooms and a delicious breakfast of homemade goodies. We visiting in April when the garden was in bloom and we could enjoy a glass of wine outside in the late afternoon. So delightful. Our room was particularly spacious and overlooked the gardens, as well as the old church in this small town. Antoine is a wonderful host and owner of the property who goes out of his way to make your stay special. We has great stories to share and excellent recommendations for exploring the area. I only wish we had spent more than 2 nights in this charming b&b. Of note, we were just 15 mins from Blois, 30 mins from Amboise, and it was a perfect spot for exploring the gorgeous chateaus of the Loire Valley. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10

Antoine, in particular, was a fantastic host. His English is excellent, which made communication effortless, and he was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and a true pleasure to talk to. He made us feel so welcome and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. His help was invaluable—he kindly assisted us with booking restaurants for dinner, securing tables at wonderful local places we would have otherwise missed The chateau itself is breathtaking. It is like a living museum, meticulously preserved and decorated in a genuine 19th-century style. The attention to detail is remarkable—every piece of furniture, every painting, and every tapestry feels like part of the story. Our room was the double bedroom with two en-suite bathrooms, which was spacious and had all the modern amenities we could need, seamlessly blended with the historic character. Each morning began with a very pleasant, homemade breakfast The garden is a paradise, bursting with color and a stunning variety of plants. It was the perfect place for a peaceful stroll each morning and evening.

Positive: Antoine is the perfect host. The house and garden are magnificent. Genuine, tasteful period furnishing with lots of interesting stuff to see. Spacious and comfortable, including beds. All the things that should be modern are, and work very well - bathrooms, aircon, electricals, wifi, locks/security. Breakfast on the sunny terrace was excellent. Secure parking for the car. Plums and apples in the garden. Lovely local walk. Good nearby restaurant (Hotel du Pont).
Negative: Nothing at all.
