Positive: We have been staying at many chateaus on the Loire on our trip, but this one -- such a jaw-dropping exceptional view! The placement of the property makes it look as if the Loire in its wideness is flowing straight towards you. Placed at the confluence of two rivers -- the Loire and the Maine -- this feature is just breathtaking. But the interior of the mansion/manor built in the 18th century is so beautifully appointed. The rose garden in back is just as stunning as the front river view. The hosts give such a courteous and refined experience - delicious croissants and local cheeses for breakfast and superb coffee by a genuinely trained coffee roasting expert! We should have stayed at least two nights and will next time. Truly exceptional.

Positive: The location by the Loire and the amazing views. Arthur our host couldn’t do enough for us and recommended and booked an evening meal for us too. Room was incredible. It was definitely worth the price for a relaxing nights stay. 100% recommend

Positive: Location idyllic. Beautifully restored chateau which was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was a delight, local produce served on the terrace overlooking the Loire. Arthur, the owner was on hand to ensure our short stay was memorable.

Positive: Le Petit Serrant is a hidden gem … located close to the village of Bouchemaine on Le Point with unparalleled views of the Loire. Le Petit Serrant is a sumptuous, newly renovated, much loved family home set in well tended gardens. There is an elegant Reception Room and Dinning Room on the Ground Floor each with stunning views of the Loire. Upstairs over 2 floors there are the most exquisitely decorated rooms, each named after the granddaughters of the family. We stayed in Madeleine and a highlight for us was that we met her and she is delightful! Our en-suite room was elegant and beautifully decorated with original artwork and antique furniture and most importantly the shower was sensational and the bed luxurious! The double aspect provided unforgettable views … As the weather was beautiful, a delicious breakfast was served on the terrace so that we could enjoy those exceptional views. Great coffee accompanied a delicious Continental Breakfast with locally sourced whipped yogurt, excellent breads and croissant with homemade jams and distinctive and delicious local cheese. An Outstanding experience!

Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like, however we discussed with the owner that our experience could be further elevated with WiFi connectivity and bikes to rent to enjoy the wonderful cycle paths in the area.
