Positive: Our sincerest thanks to Dominique, the owner, for assembling an oasis of calm, an impeccably clean and thoroughly well furnished accommodation that lacked for nothing for a couple. Returning to the west facing, sunny, private terrace was always a welcoming bliss. The little stream of fish at the foot of the terrace beckoned us to return early from a day of touring to enjoy the tranquility of the location. Chapeau Dominique pour ce paradis!

Positive: Having stayed a week on the way out we chose to stay again in this beautiful Normandy house on our return journey after a month in France. It meant that once more we enjoyed the superb rural location in the Pay de Bray with its wooded scarp slopes and farmed valleys, meals in nearby St Saens and Neufchatel-en-Bray and the wonderful sunny terrace overlooking the Varenne valley.

Negative: Nothing - we hope to return next year.

Positive: The location is perfect in a quiet back road in the hamlet of St Hellier overlooking the Varenne valley in the beautiful Pays-de-Bray clay vale district. The facilities are new and top grade and the private parking and garden are safe havens - this is a perfect Normandy cottage for two adults.

Negative: Nothing. This cottage met our remit in terms of facilities and location and in terms of view of the countryside from its rear terrace was outstanding.
