Positive: Very clean, tidy and well-equipped house by a lively spring. It has two bedrooms, a sizable sitting room and a comfy terrace to chill out. Exceptionally responsive owner, friendly, knowledgeable, always available and ready to help.

Negative: An awning above the terrace would make this property even better.

Summary: Fabulous location in the wooded area of Normandy. Amazing host, friendly and knowledgeable.

Positive: Everything. The host, Patrick, is the epitome of professional and met us upon arrival, giving us a detailed overview of the property, how everything worked and where we could locate cafes/restaurants/sightseeing destinations/etc. As for the property itself, if you're reading this review, stop. Just book. It will exceed your expectations in every way! The bedrooms are, as the floor plan shows, at opposite ends of the building, so everyone gets a good night's sleep. Not that it's possible to get a bad one - the location is a patch of French paradise; babbling small river and lush green grounds to woo you into a lull to fully relax and unwind. There's a terrace/deck that catches the morning sun, perfect for a gentile breakfast, or if it's cooler weather you can always relax in the comfortable armchairs in front of the wood-fire. The property is located close to, but a comfortable distance from, major roads. So it's easy to get to and from, but means no road noise. There's ample private parking in front also, so you don't need to carry bags far. With almost everything on one level, except the double bedroom which has one step up to access it and the adjacent shower room, it's great for anyone travelling with infirmities. The showers are spacious singles, and have good water pressure. The beds were perfect in every way. Kitchen, living, and dining areas are all open-plan, allowing a watchful eye over younger family members, whilst still enjoying superb views out two double sliding doors to the deck and beyond. Wifi worked in every room, and the heating was perfect - not hot, not cool, just right! The kitchen is well appointed, with a 3-ring induction stove, microwave, and oven. There's every utensil, pot/pan/bowl etc you could need, along with a large fridge and freezer. A dishwasher and washing machine are also in the kitchen, making it the hub of activity.

Negative: Leaving. The hardest part is knowing you can't stay forever, and that you must return to the real world. You'll find no faults here, the property is perfect.
