Positive: Le Miromar is located on the hillside about 4-500 m from the beach. High enough that the air was cool and there was some wind to chill us, and close enough that we could get to the beach rapidly. The house is exactly as on the pictures - a small two-storey building, which was perfect for us. There is an incredible attention to detail, everything was aimed at our comfort from the big things - comfortable bed, great kitchen, lovely terrace, barbecue - to the small ones - candles, welcome package of Ligurian specialties, cold drinks in the fridge, ... Our hosts were waiting for us and they very very helpful and friendly. We also appreciated the village, Riva Ligure a lot. It had the beauty of a seaside resort without the overload of foreign tourists. We had the impression that we got immersed into the local community. Nice restaurants, easy shopping for food. As a bonus the village is at the middle of the seashore cycling route so it is a convenient ride to San Remo or Imperia and back in the morning or late afternoon. Some of the medieval seaside and hillside villages are also worth a visit. If you are a partygoer, then you'll find enough buzz in the nearby places too.

Negative: Driving on winding Italian roads can sometimes be tiring - so if you are not ready for it, then don't come to Italy:)

Positive: Our experiences booking and staying at Le Miromar were fantastic. As soon as we booked Claudia & Silvio were in touch to make sure we would have as good stay as possible, answering questions, arranging secure parking for our camper van, checking what we preferred on the fabulous range of local produce and breakfast items they provided. Plus their amazing home produced olives and olive oil! Claudia gave us specific instructions on how to get there and was waiting to greet is, show us round and help with anything. The location is fabulous. On a hill overlooking the town and Mediterranean Sea so you get cooling breezes sitting on the lovely patio, much needed in the heatwave that we were in, with a pedestrian path and road to the beach and shops. The house itself has been beautifully renovated and the care, quality and detail put into everything is superb. There is absolutely everything you need from kitchen equipment to a large comfy bed, seating areas, maps, bathroom items, washing machine and air conditioning etc. We loved our time at Le Miromar and hope we can return sometime.

Negative: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but just for other travellers. The footpath to the beach and town is steep and may not suit every one. Particularly hose with mobility issues. That said I had a previous accident which affected my knee had to walk with sticks but I managed it
