Positive: The bathrooms were nicely renovated . We can park our car right in front of the house. Nice little town.

Negative: The ground floor toilet location was tucked at the corner of the library and a bit hard to access from the front room if you need to go in the middle of the night.

Positive: What an amazing property, beautifully decorated with high quality furniture and linen. We stayed for four weeks, it is a very comfortable gite with everything you need for an extended stay. The garden is lovely, especially as we travelled with our dog. Small touches were really appreciated, dog bowls and dog cushion. The host Anne was very helpful and always ready with suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble for her and speaks great English. The area is very beautiful, the village is picturesque with the castle on the hill. There are 2 good restaurants within a five minute walk and a patisserie. The river is at the bottom of the garden and many lovely walks. I highly recommend Anne’s Gite for a relaxing trip.

Positive: Lovely charming village with a market near by, as well as all the other amenities needed. Lots to do for big and small. House and garden were perfect with games and books for bad weather and a garden for when it's sunny.

Positive: Le Gite de Sissi is a beautiful house in a lovely village. It was a privilege to stay there. Anne was pleasant and helpful during our stay. And she even found the time to give us a tour of her own house next door, a wonderfully renovated property of immense historical significance. We would love to stay there again.

Positive: We loved our stay in Lavardin at this house. The host, Anne, was super helpful and kind. She was flexible in meeting us at our time of arrival, and gave us a great tour of the incredible property. We were really impressed by the 15th century house and thought the internal decor was beautiful. We feel lucky to have found this house to stay at. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay included cooking equipment etc. Thank you so much! Lavardin was also a really beautiful village to stay in. We enjoyed visiting villages nearby and the local boulangerie was brilliant. One thing to note is that a car to get around is most useful.
