What we offer is a beautiful and spacious old stone house in the heart of the unspoiled Chianti countryside. It has been completely and caringly restored to a high standard and furnished with antique pieces belonging to the owners.
The view from the hilltop - over 600 meters - where the property stands, is truly breathtaking: olive trees, vineyards and forests dot the open hilly landscape, whilst Siena and its towers are visible in the far distance.
There are two terraces, of which one covered, fully equipped for al fresco dining (mobile barbecues provided). A lovely garden surrounds the entire house, enhancing the tranquility and privacy of the property. The secluded swimming pool is only a few steps away. The pool (not heated, usually open end May to end September) may be shared with guests staying at Il Diaccino (VRBO 654136) on the same property.
If more than ten guests wish to stay at the property a small detached unit for 2 (bedroom and bathroom - not individually let) across the courtyard can be additionally booked.
Both Siena and Florence, as well as charming hamlets, small towns and castles, with all their cultural and artistic attractions are easily reachable by car. The property is close to Gaiole in Chianti (5km) and Radda in Chianti (8km).
The owners are winemakers and live nearby in the main house of the property. They will personally greet their guests and are ready to assist and advise them at any time, to make their stay truly special and memorable.
Wine tastings and guided tours of cellar & vineyard are free for guests if desired. Upon request cooking classes recommendations are given.
Le Diacce is rented weekly Friday to Friday.

Summary: My family and I traveled to the Tuscany region to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We were absolutely thrilled with Le Diacce and Barbara’s support for our stay. The house was well stocked; the pool was wonderful (especially for our teenage boys); the setting in the countryside was picturesque. The wine tasting hosted by Barbara was wonderful! All in all, I cannot describe all the wonderful things about this property and the phenomenal hosts. Our family of nine have a wonderful memory that we will treasure forever.

Summary: My wife and I took our adult children and their plus ones (20-22 year-olds) to Italy for a 2 week vacation. Le Diacce served as our base in Tuscany. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. First, the location is fantastic. It is in close proximity to many small and wonderful Italian villages. Walled cities are close by for exploration (history, food, wine, etc.) Gaiole is a short 10 minute drive away and is so quiet and quaint with a superb grocery market, cafe, and several restaurants. Secondly, the view from the house is breathtaking. One of our favorite things to do was sit outside in the late afternoon with a gentle and cool SW breeze coming up through the vineyard into our face. Lastly, the owners and support staff are amazing. Anna was so helpful in our planning. Barbara was on top of our every question and request before and throughout our arrival. Jennifer was so pleasant in our winetasting at the winery and helpful with suggestions on the "must do's". By the way, you must stop at the food truck on the way to Greve. Not kidding. It was amazing and our kids and friends loved it. Lastly, Lorenzo was amazing. The washing machine had a bit of a hiccup, and Lorenzo was their immediately to replace it with a working machine. I could write so much more. My wife and I have traveled to many places and had many great experiences. The experience in Tuscany is our absolute favorite and Le Diacce is the primary reason for that.

Summary: Comfortable and charming farmhouse surrounded by vineyards overlooking the beautiful Tuscan Landscape. Ours hosts Jenn and Lorenzo were gracious and accommodating. The Winery is the the perfect size to enjoy the wines and the company. Two weeks was not enough. Hope to get back again soon.

Summary: This was a 2 week celebration of 3 men who turned 60 this year. The property exceeded our expectations on many levels. The weather the first 10 days was exceptional and we were able to use the beautiful yards around the farmhouse either for sipping your morning coffee or our afternoon wine!! In the evenings we would all gather and make dinner in the well appointed kitchen! When the weather cooled a bit there was plenty of room on the inside to gather or find a quiet nook. The surrounding area is quite lovely, all of us took strolls in the morning or afternoon along the gravel roads through the vineyards. Lorenzo and Jennifer were the most gracious hosts, we truly appreciate the unparalleled hospitality they provided! Grazie Mille!!

Summary: We had a wonderful time. The house was spacious and well appointed. The owners were very helpful and gracious, answering all of our questions. We enjoyed a wine tasting at their winery and their commended cooking instructor who came to the house was perfect. For a family of nine, it was perfect for all ages!

Summary: The traditional Italian farmhouse was a spacious, clean and generously appointed home base for our group of 10. Located very close to Gaiole in Chianti, it is on the estate of a beautiful vineyard that produces Chianti Classico Reserva and other delicious wines. We had a wonderful tasting and tour of the cellars, give by Lorenzo Gatteschi, the vintner and his knowledgeable and charming wife, and were especially fortunate to be present during the bottling of some of their wines! We'd rented the smaller guesthouse, Il Diaccino, also, to accommodate two more friends, and shared the large swimming pool between the two houses. The owners and their family couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. In fact, Franca and her sister Mimma gave a cooking class which culminated in the most delicious meal on the terrace of the tasting room, overlooking the most wonderful views of the valley. Well-tended vines and olive trees, with 5' tall hedges of rosemary and scads of lavender enriched our eyes and souls. The Holm oaks, cedars, and caper bushes were so interesting to see. Many lasting memories were made here! Most highly recommend Le Diacce.

Summary: We stayed in Le Diacce in August 2019 for a three generation family vacation and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly how you expect a traditional Tuscan villa to look in the movies: charmingly decorated with beautiful, well maintained grounds and an exquisite view of the vineyards and Tuscan hills. It had plenty of space for our family and was even able to comfortably accommodate my parents who are unable to climb stairs (they stayed in a small charming cottage next to the house). The house is in Gaiole which is the center of Tuscany and the Chianti area. It was a great location for exploring Florence, Sienna and numerous quaint Tuscan villages and towns. Franca, the owner, is a gem. She's so kind and helpful. She provided a lot of information about what to do and really made us feel welcome. I also highly recommend the cooking class she organizes with het sister. My whole family (three generations) loved it! Thanks so much Franca for a wonderful stay.

Summary: Our family of 9, our kids and grandkids, spent a blissful week at Le Diacce in early early July. The house, rural setting, surrounding trails, castles, restaurants and easy access to both Florence and Siena made for a wonderful week for everyone. Coming home from a busy day and jumping in the pool, then preparing a dinner to share outside where we could look out at the Chianti hills was magical. Six bedrooms and bathrooms made it luxurious. The help and friendship we received from Franca was the best part and we would love to return. The smaller house next door, Il Diaccino , also looked wonderful and would be prefect for a smaller group. Thank you for helping us have a joyful 50th wedding anniversary celebration.

Summary: The villa Le Diacce is sublime. It offers a welcome base from which to tour the hilltop towns of Tuscany. Franca is a wonderful hostess whose knowledge of the local history is only exceeded by her culinary charms. Our family of 5 (including 3 adult children) spent a delightful time at this roomy villa. Each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom. It was a perfect holiday and, like so many of Franca’s guests, we will return of that we are certain.
