Summary: Le Castel de Castillon "Gaby’s home in Castillon La Bataille could not have been more perfect. The house is so beautiful - the decor is very stylish, the temperature inside was always cool and it was so comfortable wherever we relaxed. A beautiful pool area, with lots of seating, sun and shade (our dog was very pleased!) so clean and perfect for our daily swims! We used Gaby’s home as the perfect base to explore the area, catching a stage of the Tour de France, visiting St Emilion, nearby caves and buying some excellent Bordeaux wines direct from the vineyard. The town itself was very quiet apart from market day and we found much of it closed up day and night. But Gaby’s lovely house more than made up for that, as it was fabulously equipped for cooking at home too. And Gaby was the perfect host, so friendly, welcoming and helpful with our questions. Thank you so much Gaby."

Summary: Le Castel de Castillon Our host Gaby was delightful and you could see the hard work that had gone into to updating the property which was absolutely lovely and the pool an added bonus. The location worked for us to explore the surrounding area by car or train as the station was walkable.
