Positive: Cottage was very clean and it had everything that one would expect.

Negative: Low door frames and very steep and narrow winding staircase could be a problem for some. A 250ml of Milk would have been appreciated on arrival, and we were not aware that there was no parking. The photos would suggest that there was, and we were only informed that we could not park outside the cottage once we received the arrival instruction one day prior to our arrival.

Summary: Pleasant but no parking.

Positive: The kitchen was lovely. Great to be able to open the bifold doors when the sun actually made an appearance. The kitchen was well equipped which made it easy to use during our stay. Very good sized fridge and great dining table. Bed was very comfortable and nice decor throughout the property. There was enough space for all of our things to be stored. The location was great both its position in the village but also well situated to go out to some nice places in the day. The village of Stiffkey was lovely. Fantastic pub and nice village stores handily located to the property. Delicious Sunday roast at the pub. Nice to have the outside area which we unfortunately were not able to take advantage of due to the persistent rain.

Negative: The ‘spiral’ stairs were very steep and the steps very narrow. We had our 10 month baby with us and we did struggle going up and down the stairs with him. It did feel rather unsafe. The bathroom was also downstairs which was not made clear, this was not ideal with the baby. The loo was also so close to the wall it was difficult to use properly. The shower was good though.
