Positive: I liked the hosts’ warm attitude and welcoming reception. The room was warm, and the bed was comfortable. The shared WC and shower were clean, and shower gel was also provided. A kitchen was available for cooking or making coffee. Tea and coffee were also offered free of charge.

Negative: At night, my sleep was disturbed by a sound that seemed to come from an alarm system—it beeped periodically. There was almost no sound insulation. The neighbors got up at 4 a.m., and so did I, thinking it was my alarm going off.

Positive: Very modern and so clean. Great area for where we needed and best stay I’ve had in Latvia. Nice hosts too. Parking available. Lovely garden. Kitchen and dining room available for use. Lovely place will definitely be back. Comfortable bed and quiet area. Not too far from bus station and shops.

Positive: A surprise at the edge of Rūjiena! Smart, new building with stylish decor and high quality facilities. Just the kind of luxury and comfort we needed after a hot day on bicycles. The final night of our trip, it made a very pleasant ending.

Positive: The hotel was fully booked but they managed to find a solution. I am really happy about that! There was a kitchen with all the appliances and the garden was a really nice place to sit, including a playground for the kids. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the shed.
