Positive: Loved the location as had not visited Osmington since 1958 as an 18 year old with my parents bro and sister.Trip down memory lane for me.Had my first beer there visited all places I remembered .
Negative: As I live in the Cornish countryside I felt quite at home with farms and rural smells no problem at all one point Is I always book pet free accommodation and sadly it was evident that a dog had been given access to all areas and did sustain 2 flea bites.It is difficult for owners but they may have to introduce pet free or limit areas of access not a complaint just a suggestion.Would visit again.
Summary: Delightful weather fabulous and access to public transport meant could leave car parked Thank You Sykes Cottages.

Positive: The cottage is very comfortable. Having all the amenities we requested for a perfect stay.
Negative: The water pressure in the bathroom sink isn't very powerful. The directions on the Booking.com website need updating as they refer to a pub name that is no longer there. The pub is now called the Sunray. This was extremely confusing when looking for the accommodation as we couldn't find the pub mentioned on the website.

Positive: Beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet courtyard setting. Set away from the road enough to allow a peaceful nights sleep, yet close enough to allow easy access to wherever you wish to explore.
Negative: Few items in the kitchen required a clean before use. Bathroom tap was near enough unusable due to the very few and fine streams of water coming from it. Perhaps blocked up?

Positive: nice location, quiet and out the way. easy to access. property itself is a nice set up, very ideal for a small family visiting.
Negative: just generally dirty? so many disgusting food marks/stains on blankets/towels, some sort of curry type spilled up the floor, so many stains on the doors which are so easily wipeable! its an old property, so wall cracks and spiders are fair enough, vut this was just lile really?? top 2 draws of freezer was also caked in bits, and frozen up so you could not open both draws even a 1/4.i will be putting in a complaint. we also had a faulty overflow pipe on the bath, so on the second night when a bath was run, it leaked through the whole floor and was pooring water downstairs, through the lightbulb. called emergency line which were helpful, but plumber could not come till mext day so had to use all towels to clean up. also seemed no sort of care that it was coming THROUGH the lights - we did not turn this light on for the remaining 5 days of our trip to stay clear of any harm. not well washed items either - there was a whole weird powdery substance all over the chopping board which we rinsed off and did not touch, utensils also covered in sticky stains meaning we had to wash everything again.

Negative: Bathroom sink too small and tap wasn't anywhere near powerful to give enough water to wash in. Kitchen sink hot tap not powerful enough, water pressure low. Didn't like the cooker hob, not responsive enough to control temperature.

Positive: The location was great. Just out of the way of the hustle and bustle but close enough to Weymouth and surrounding areas. Bathroom and linens very clean.
Negative: The cottage smelt musty and damp. Despite the air freshener plug in you could not get away from the smell. I think the cushions and curtains are in need of a wash and the damp smell is engrained in them. A little extra care when cleaning would also be good. There were a few cobwebs on and around the light fixtures and spiders were present here and there. Also, the number of flies that kept coming in to the property was a bit annoying. Although this is likely just the surrounding area and not the fault of the property itself. The fridge didn’t seem cool enough, despite us altering the settings.
Summary: Great location. Property needs a bit of TLC
