THE HOUSE:
A beautifully appointed house in 1 acre with indoor pool in a fantastic rural yet accessible setting, on a south facing slope with beautiful rural views in all directions. Very close to beaches, pubs and restaurants. Offering 3300 square feet of luxurious but relaxed accommodation.

Living Acccommodation:
2 large lounges, both with flat screen TV and comfortable furniture, and one having projection cinema with 8 foot screen and direct access to hot tub terrace.
Exclusive Use of Indoor Pool included within the price.
Large kitchen diner with panoramic rural views and direct access to dining terrace. Secondary kitchen facility on lower ground floor.
Sleeping Accommodation:
8 Bedrooms all sleeping 2. 2 of the bedrooms have an additional sofa bed allowing the option of use as a family room. The property sleeps 20 plus 2 babies. Cot and travel cot are provided as required.
We have 6 Bath and Shower Rooms of which 3 are en suite.
There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor, one double/family with double sofa bed, one twin, and a further double with double sofa bed and with space for cot, and 2 bathrooms with bath and shower, 1 of which is ensuite to the family room.
There are 3 bedrooms on the ground floor one of which has an ensuite bathroom with shower over bath, as well as an additional bathroom. The ensuite room has a king size double bed and room for a cot, and two twin rooms have zip and link beds which can be combined to form a double.
There are stairs from the main hall down to the lower ground floor. On the lower ground floor are the cinema lounge with bar area with wine fridge, 2 bedrooms, one of which has a king sized double bed and ensuite bathroom. The other room has twin zip and link beds which can be arranged as 2 singles or as a double. There is also a further shower room serving the other bedroom.
The Cinema lounge and bar is 15 feet by 32 feet, and has four triple sofas, two armchairs, and 6 bar stools.
This is in addition to the main kitchen on the ground floor which is the one designed for communal dining, as it has a table which can seat up to 20 in comfort.
OUTSIDE
1 acre garden with lovely rural views, south facing with path outside leading to coast path. 2 large terraces for dining, barbecuing or sunbathing, 1 with 7 person hot tub, indoor pool both open all year.
On the ground floor terrace immediately off the main kitchen is a table and chairs for 16 complete with large barbecue for outside dining with lovely view.

There is a large level lawn ideal for ball games complete with football goals and balls.

Maidencombe - Pretty cove beach 1km away with beach barbecue cafe' and Thatched Tavern pub with lovely beer garden.

Summary: The house and facilities were excellent, spacious house with lots of outdoor space, games, hot tub, swimming pool etc. Perfect house for a weekend away with friends. There were just a couple of issues which could be very easily rectified - you cannot open the downstairs en-suite bathroom from the inside once the door is closed, which resulted in my friend being locked in there for 10 minutes as we couldn’t hear her shouting from upstairs, had this have been a child this would have been awful. The door in the main room on the top floor does not close, so we had to wedge bags against it to keep it closed which was t ideal. We also discovered some dog poo on the grass whilst out playing on a lawn. I also think the cleanliness of the property could have been more thorough - lots of cobwebs and fly nests around the windows.

Summary: Lovely house, large enough for the 6 of us, although it can sleep more I wouldn’t have wanted to share with anymore than that. Steve was very helpful, no issues apart from maybe check crockery pans etc as there were a lot that needed cleaning before they could be used. Thanks for everything.

Summary: There were 10 adults and 9 children ranging from 4 years to 66years old - the pool and Jaccuzzi were the main attraction for the younger ones - there could be a few more instructions for the working of the cinema room and sound bar etc. Also no glasses in cinema room even though there was a bar in there - could also do with a slightly better BBQ - think it’s seen the best of its days. On the whole fantastic views and the local pub (The Church Inn ) was amazing food and drink wise.

Summary: 20 of us stayed in this idyllic property. Spacious, everything and more you would hope for. Great views from the terrace and top floor. Very secure. Plenty for kids to explore and enjoy themselves.

Summary: The property was amazing and huge! Had everything we could possibly want. The swimming pool and hot tub was a great addition as well as the ping pong table/football field/basketball hoop! Hosts were friendly and answered any queries we had very quickly! Had such a great time that we're already looking to book again next year! A definite 10/10!
