5 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, ~4,000 sq ft home of lakefront living with epic mountain views
With stunning views, endless water play, and close access to airport & all Anchorage activities, this custom cedar plank home will give your large family / group plenty of space to relax and enjoy Alaska (even without leaving the house).
This home is uniquely designed to allow for both individual privacy and gathering places for multiple groups. The master bedroom (with private balcony and ensuite bathroom), main living room and kitchen are on the top level taking in views across the lake and onto the mountain range. The four additional bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom and two with jack-and-jill bathroom) and second living area are on the entry level, again with most rooms taking in the spectacular surroundings outside. Full laundry also on entry level.
Garage parking is unavailable however driveway, carport, and gravel pad can accommodate multiple cars. Large capacity cars are also available for rent, please enquire should you need transportation
This home also features an extra-large, private, 8+ person hot tub out the back overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains, and a firepit further down towards the lake.
The open kitchen / dining area features a 12 person table plus additional countertop seating for 4. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliance extras including air fryer, Instapot, crockpot, cedar grill, ice cream maker, bread machine, and many more. The spacious deck off the dining area overlooking the lake features an outdoor table, extra-large solo stove, and propane grill.
This home is equipped with toys and game cabinets, a mini pool table, air hockey, and fuzzball table to keep kids (and big kids) occupied while indoors. While outdoors, there is a playground, and water toys (canoe, kayaks). Stand Up Paddle boards and pontoon boat are available for additional fee.
Close to the Anchorage International airport and within 15 minutes of downtown, the medical center, or south anchorage, this tucked away lake house still seems like a remote oasis. Kincaid park, the Motocross tracks, tons of biking trails are all nearby.
There is an additional mother-in-law in the lower level with a full kitchen, living room, dining room, queen and twin bunks that could be rented in addition to the main house, please inquire.

Summary: The house was perfect for multipl families. It gave us a chance to be together and still have our own spaces. The loction is ideal! Close to everything with picturesque views and amazing extras. The host and property management were quick to respond and were very attentive. This home was extremely kid friendly and made the vaction entertaining from start to finsih. I would rent from Lea S. again, without hesitation.

Summary: Lea was a first rate host - she was very responsive and helpful - she even sent us a list of activities to consider in the area! The house is amazing and had plenty of space for me and my family to enjoy while taking advantage of the water toys (kayaks, SUP, etc.) to use on the amazing lake! The huge kitchen and family room provided lots of amenities for the whole family! This is a one of a kind rental and I would highly encourage anyone to stay there when visiing Anchorage!

Summary: Great place to stay when visiting Alaska. Very clean and great communication with the owners. Family enjoyed the kayaks and canoeing around Sand lake. Great time fishing. Best spot that I found was take the canoe and take a right from the dock about 50 yds to some lily pads. Kids were catching trout nonstop. Kitchen had everything we needed to make any meal. Comfortable beds and plenty of room. Even had a moose show up in the back yard. Really had fun here. Thank You.

Summary: The house was just as described and perfect for our two families of four to enjoy Anchorage together during Thanksgiving week. It is a beautiful home with stunning views of the frozen lake and mountains in the distance. We spent lots of time out on the lake ice skating, exploring and watching the ice fishermen. The location of the house made it easy to visit the downtown area. The host was very attentive and the house supplied everything we needed. I would definitely recommend for a winter wonderland experience.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the house on Sand Lake. We spent most days enjoying Alaskan adventures. We spent our evenings enjoying a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the lake or paddling around the lake or playing games in the family room. The house is very comfortable. We felt right at home. Lea was an attentive hostess. Communication was timely and very helpful. She offered great tips for adventures, restaurants and sights to see. Just lovely. It's our greatest hope that we can go back again soon and bring additional family memebers.
