Summary: There was so much to learn in the history of this home! It sits right on the walking trail in Montreat with the creek across the road. The soothing sound of running water can be heard from the two porch/decks where we spent a lot of time. This charming cottage had us imagining what life was like there 100 years ago. Eight of us fit comfortably, though for a stay longer than 2 nights we would have needed more than one shower! The kitchen had everything we needed, too.

Summary: This trip brought my extended family together at Montreat for the first time since 2007. The location of the house was perfect; so very close to the Moore Center and right across from creek access. We could not keep our 11 year olds out of the water! The plumbing gave us some trouble at first but the host immediately responded and fixed it quickly. I'm certain it was an unusal issue, especially as no other reviewer mentions such an issue. So, no need to worry. Even if there is a problem, you will have an extremely responsive host.
