Summary: We have been going to La playa for. Few years now and it truly is a wonderful place to stay. We live in Miami and rarely go to the beach due to the crowds and the fact that you can’t go and enjoy the beach without someone blasting music. La playa is quite family friendly and just beautiful. The staff is very welcoming and we hope to continue our tradition of celebrating our wedding anniversary there in September.

Summary: Our stay was wonderful. All personnel were friendly, helpful and were dedicated to making our stay as good as possible. The hotel’s location on Vanderbilt beach can not be beat. If you like pickleball it is only a 10 minute drive from Veterans Community Park and it’s free, active, busy, competitive open play and pickleball courts. It was obvious that the hotel was still recovering from the last hurricane with the first floor of the beach view rooms being closed and undergoing repair. The hotel’s tech fell short of expectations. Internet was slow or non functional from our patio. The hotel telephone system did not work and all calls to the valet, concert, housekeeping, etc. had to go through the front desk. The room TV’s were not smart so unlike many modern hotels, we could not use our own YouTube tv, Netflix and other subscription services to access our favorite programs. Despite these concerns we loved our stay and would choose this hotel for future stays.
