Summary: As you drive through the elegant gates and up the meandering driveway, you can't be disappointed with the beauty and grandeur of the chateau and accompanying house and its grounds. We were overwhelmed by the space, the peace and quiet and the freedom at Chateau Betan. The kids loved our idle days by the pool, and the huge hall come playroom. We were warmly welcomed by Marguerite and André and made to feel completely relaxed and at ease; their freshly picked plums and figs were well received, too! Great facilities, characterful house, peaceful surroundings and fairly well located for day trips. We all had a fantastic time and would love to visit again.

Summary: Super family week! Lots of space in the gite for 9 of us and the facilities both cooking, washing and leisure were excellent. Marguerite and Andre were welcoming and helpful. The gardens and lake were beautiful. The pool was very well maintained and a joy to use. Some repairs may be needed to the pool's decking where one or two screws are sitting proud and could be a danger to bare feet. Just one other small note-there was a compulsory cleaning charge that did not seem to be mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions. Perhaps this should be mentioned in the booking contract through Abritel. A superb holiday! Thank you!
