Positive: I had the most wonderful stay at Lande Tiny. The host, Wila, was welcoming and truly charming. The experience felt more like staying with a friend than just booking a place. The bathroom and rooms were very clean, and the entire space had a homey atmosphere that made me wish I could stay longer. Unfortunately, I had a prearranged guided tour, so I could only stay for one night—but I would have happily extended my visit if I could. Thank you, Wila, for your kind hospitality. I hope to return someday.

Positive: Great Experience Overall! The accommodation is very spacious and with a beautiful garden view. Best part is the owner Wila. He's very friendly and has a lot of knowledge from the surrounding area and is keen on giving insight into toraja culture and we spoke with him for a long time. He also has his little cafe in which he sells his own grown coffee and there's the possibility that he also shows you his plantation which is just behind the bungalows. He was very helpful in gathering information for us on when and where the death ceremonies would take place and provided many tips on customs, do's and don'ts so we could arrange everything ourselves with scooters. At one point he also offered us home-cooked food from his mother that lives nearby in one of the traditional houses. PS: For those interested he also offers guided tours where he joins you, he seemed very knowledgeable from the get-go so it's definitely a good option.

Positive: Host Mr Wilanda is a very kind person. He and his mum do their best to accommodate everyone. Wilanda is very eager to explain all aspects of the Toraja culture. He can assist you as a guide. Always very friendly and no commercial pushing packages. All members of our family had a great time and we look forward to visit again!

Positive: Dear Wila, (It is impossible to write to you as you never gave me your E-mail address. I have to use Piseth’s services). Our two days and three nights at your Toraja style, and unique, traditional house have been a pure enchantment. We were in another world, where beauty, kindness and serenity prevailed - what we imagine paradise must be. The accommodation: Willanda Lande’s century-old Toraja style houses for the guests were nestled between the steep wooden hill and the torrent in a garden teeming with local and many-colored plants cared for by the mother of our host. Our Toraja bungalow had all the most recent facilities: a vast and comfortable bed, plus two more sleeping arrangements on the top floor, a shower room, tea and coffee …. and perfect calm amid the songs of the birds and the flutter of butterflies. The food: we were welcomed each day with freshly pressed delicious fruit juice from local exotic fruit served by Willanda, the smiling host. As we required, for every meal, he selected the best restaurants serving local food for a most reasonable prices. Those were new flavours for the delight of our palates. The service, the guide: Villanda Lande is originally a local minority Sulawesian, with two BAs from Djakarta, one of which was in English. He had the great advantage of being totally bilingual - a rarity in Indonesia. So, we could hold with him long conversations about the geography, the history and the extraordinary culture of his big equatorial island. We had a remarkable combination of modernity and century-old preserved traditions, a festival of ancient traditions with a colonial layer of christianity. He could answer competently all our questions - something unique in Southeast Asia. Besides, he took us to all the places we selected after discussions from his suggestions.
