2 Bedroom House in Cordova, Rockingham

Our lake cottage can comfortably sleep 6 people. Our family uses it all the time, so it has everything you may need! There are 2 bedrooms, both with a king size bed. There is also a central room with 2 twin beds that can easily be put together to make a 3rd king size bed. There are 2 baths, a master bathroom with a jetted tub and large shower, and a hall bath with a large shower. The second bedroom and central room have direct access to the hall bath. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a family room with an electric fireplace, a sunroom with a large dining table and sectional to enjoy the fabulous view and occasional wildlife.
You will have access to the entire house, as well as our kayaks (2 singles and 1 double). There is a small beach to launch the kayaks, and a boat ramp, if you plan on coming with your small boat or jetskis. But the use of the ramp will be at your own risks. Know that it is a bit narrow.
You will find most everything you may want to shop for in Rockingham, especially if thrift shopping is your thing! We are less than 30 minutes away from Aberdeen, where there are more restaurants to choose from, and 35 minutes away from Southern Pines/Pinehurst, the NC capital of golf! Lots of great restaurants and shopping there as well.
Please note that there are a few steps between the main section of the house and the master suite. This house was originally two small cabins that were later connected. Also, the access down to the shoreline is somewhat steep.

Summary: Rented this lovely home because we needed a few more beds while visiting brother up the road. It was so much more than we expected. Brother, sisters and spouses in our 70s. Great for those who have trouble with steps. Had a wonderful time enjoying the view from the deck and sunroom. I swam then tied our inflatable chair to the dock and had a lovely float.

Summary: The property was lovely and as described. The master bedroom was super comfortable! Lots of pantry items for cooking. We didn’t use the outside amenities but looked to be a great place to hang out near the lake.

Summary: I was in the area for my nephew's wedding and I am so fortunate to have found the Lake Retreat! We loved it so much that we didn't want to leave. It was the perfect place for serenity. As far as the property goes, it was exactly as described; immaculately clean; had everything we needed including coffee, shampoo, etc. The beds were comfortable but the VIEW of the lake from nearly every room was the star of the show! It truly is a gem of a place and we would love to return when we can just relax and don't have commitments. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful property!

Summary: There just aren't words to describe how wonderful my stay was. The house was perfect and the view of the lake was just beautiful. Drinking my coffee every morning in the sun room overlooking the lake was the most calming part of my day. The home was exactly as described, we had everything we needed and Alex was a great host. I hope to stay in Alex's home every time I return to Rockingham.
