Positive: The cabin was wonderful and it was very calm, out of the city near a lake. The cabin in itself was wonderful and our stay couldn't have been better. The hosts were so kind and so helpful ! Yes, there's no running water in winter so maybe not for a long stay but I think it's more than OK for a few days. The way to the cabin was plowed in its entirety which was so nice of the hosts ! Honestly one of the greatest experience in an amazing place.

Negative: Nothing !

Positive: This is a wildernis cabin, so there is obviously no bathroom and the toilet is a dry toilet outside. And in the hearth of the winter, it can be cold. The location is absolutely great, not too remote, but still outside of any light pollution, and the quzick access to the frozen lake is a perfect spot for spotting auroras. The cabin is well equipped with cookware, our host was very kind, helpful and responsive

Negative: The amount of wood we needed to burn was quite high. There is quite a temperature gradient between the floor and the mezzanine (we had -25 degree outsideand inside the floor at -3, table at 10, mezzanine at 22 degree), I belive a ventilator at the ceiling would help homogenizing a bit?

Positive: We enjoyed the hospitality of the hostess the most. She was very friendly and provided us with all support and information required and asked for. She was available and also very knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the tranquility and natural environment of the location and the cosiness of the cabin a lot. After a week of trekking and traveling we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the cabin and its surroundings.

Negative: Beforehand we did not anticipate not having a bathroom with running hot water. However, as a whole the natural atmosphere and rustic feel of the cabin added to the experience of being back to nature and all this within the comforting shelter of a real log cabin made of real logs!

Summary: We had a great time in this real log cabin!

Positive: It was an amazing place to stay for adults and children. Hosts were great and helpful, she waited for our arrival at 2am. Cabin was warm as well. Great view, peace and quiet. Northen lights experienced from the window. Did have to go anywhere to see it. Overall 11/10 stay. Will definitely recommend and come back here one day.
