Summary: The lake view is nice. The water is very high right now and so there is no beachfront (which is reportedly the case at most properties). Unfortunately, my room had no hot water (though they tried to turn it on??) and the wifi might as well be nonexistent. The Indian menu options at the restaurant are very tasty, however. Expectations should be kept in check.

Summary: Just a one nighter on our journey south. We enjoyed lakeside rooms and a spectacular sunrise. No mosquito nets...? Friendly staff doing their best in difficult conditions.

Summary: The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. They helped us catch the ferry to Likoma Island. They use a generator in the evening if the Power is off. There is a tea kettle in the room but if the power is off they will bring you hot water for tea. Breakfast buffet with room rate.

Summary: Our purpose was to get away and relax for the weekend and this was the perfect place for that. Lakeside Hotel has tables, chairs, and sunbathing chairs all with lake views. The food from the restaurant was very good, especially the chambo and the Indian dishes. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only things that could make it better would be having a bar on site and a better water heater-- the showers were a little cold. Otherwise it's a very good deal for the money and we wouldn't hesitate to return.
