Summary: Whilst The Lakes Hotel boasts a very good location, close to shops and with some good dining options close by, the extremely loud noise we had to put up with from 11am to 9 or 10pm whilst inside our room was very disappointing. According to staff, the annoyingly loud noise was from the vent attached to the restaurant. Unfortunately we couldn’t sit on our balcony on the 3rd floor to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the lake on 4 of the nights during our 6 night stay as the noise was ridiculous and overbearing. We could not change rooms as the hotel was fully booked. The Hotel should advise people when they are booking that their balcony will be unusable and that the droning noise will be heard inside the room and more than likely ruin your stay 😟
