Summary: This cabin is not the fanciest high end cabin in Big Bear. However, it's location and lakefront views were exactly what my partner and I were looking for to decompress and get away from the city for a few days. It has simple necessities: comfortable and clean furniture, kitchen with basic pots and pans and basic assortment of cooking tools (tongs, spatula, whisk, etc), wifi, fireplace (no gas line).

Summary: I liked how close of a walk this property was to the lake. I liked how quiet the place was. I also liked the distance. It was a quick drive to the village and to nearby stores.

Summary: We walked into the most beautiful wood office, we were greeted and check-in went super. Then we walked into the 80"s. WOW. We knew we were paying for the location and did not expect a 4 star hotel. (it was $270.00 per night with all the fees). Our 3 pm check (prior approval) didn't happen until 5:30 pm due to bathtub faucet running, (not dripping, running/CA drought) and it was so hot it created a sauna. I guess the housekeeper was oblivious to leave with it running like that. AND the handyman had to come back the next day to finish up the faucet repair. Total of 4 hours without water. These are just observations for you, but we would stay again due to fabulous location. Kitchen fan pull cords (fan speed and light don't work), all pans in the cupboard were greasy and super outdated. Microwave was missing the glass plate. The handle on one pan looked like it was burned repeatedly or chewed on by a dog. One kitchen chair was wobbly and missing parts. No knife to cut steaks, so we picked them up and ate like barbarians. I brought EVERYTHING but knives, (ie, salt, pepper, butter and oil). Front screen door doesn't have a latch and had to brace it with a rock. In and out, in and out, it was a super inconvenient. Front lawn littered with beer cans. (Miller light, not our choice). Bedroom slider didn't have a lock, secured with a stick. Curtain over front door was hung with a stick, not a curtain rod. One ply toilet paper, yuck! Patio umbrella wouldn't collapse so we just took it down due to the wind. The labeled instructions above the outlets were so faded we couldn't read most of them. BBQ was really dirty and unstable. Someone before us shoved a stick in the deck to secure it. Like I said we weren't expecting a 4 star Hilton but we were surprised at the lack of any pride in ownership.

Summary: The property was great for the time we spent there. It was plenty of room and cozy, with a wonderful view every morning of the lake. We checked-in shortly after sunset, thus the property was a little difficult to find in the dark. The company was very helpful when we called and they immediately directed us closer to the lake front where the cabin was located. Highly recommend this location, and would love to stay again soon!

Summary: Perfect size cabin for two people. Very comfortable, and everything you need to enjoy your stay. The road in front of the cabin was a bit muddy (we visited mid-March) and the roads leading to the cabin were pretty broken/damaged, but we didn't get stuck, so that's good. The heater in the main room and the little heater in the bedroom are enough to keep the cabin cozy, and the view is spectacular! Loved waking up to that lake. Highly recommend!
