Positive: Great location overlooking Lake Biwa. Massive room with lots of space. Price was really good for what you get.

Negative: Pool was closed during our stay, and the room could do with a little refresh, was a bit tired.

Positive: The view was very good from the room, it was very high up and looks out over the lake. The room size was fine for the four of us and the bathroom was also nice. Not overly new but well kept.

Negative: The cost to use the swimming pool was very expensive for a family per day which put us off. This wasn't advertised on the site when we were booking, and I had made changes to our travel plans as it was very hot and we ended up staying double the amount of time specifically for the swimming pool for the family but the cost of using the pool was cost prohibitive unfortunately to use it every day. For a family of 4 it was $125 per day to use the swimming pool + towel hire + chair hire

Summary: A nice location, breakfast was very good but expensive to use the pool so factor that into your cost

Positive: Gorgeous view of the lake from room. Easy access to parking. Bigger than expected space. Good amenities. Very good value for money, we had a very comfortable stay for 1 night only.

Negative: Breakfast is a little on the pricey side, we were glad we didn't take it also because of the complicated queuing system with indication of congestions. Sounds like a stressful breakfast although we didn't actually try. There are on-site restaurants, but we opted to drive to find a reasonable local eatery for dinner. The room is also a little dated.

Positive: It offers amazing lake view and comfortable rooms.

Negative: The EV chargers are slow and expensive (¥500 per hour for 6kwh - which is ¥2500 for a measly 30kw of charge, for example). I wish (1) it would be provided to EV users to charge overnight free for hotel guests so they can continue on their journey worry-free, or (2) have rapid fast chargers so guests wouldn’t need to search around the city.

Positive: Every room has a lake facing. Can see the Michigan ship come to the dock in the morning. The hotel has a huge swimming pool.

Negative: When we arrived (by car), the concierge didn't even bother to help us with the luggage. There is no public bath but there is a bath tub with bath salt provided.

Summary: Nice hotel at the edge of Otsu / Lake Biwa.
